Poole V Birmingham 1st Leg Grand Final

Recommended Posts

Looks like rohan is fit for tomorrow which is a worry and dyer not fit being replaced by newman is not good either. Thats not being harsh on kyle but dyer is a better rider

Rohan back in the side definetly weakens the Pirates, although any guest for Dyer is an improvement.

The Poole site says

" we could be without Micky (Dyer) at reserve as he has gone down with an illness "

The mystery flu bug strikes again

Typical Poole dirty tricks

Hope Mr Newman has a stinker

Well, it was actually dirty tricks by Redcar, as Dyer never rides Newcastle well, and quite handily he became ill prior to the playoff match tonight. But feel free to blame Poole if it keeps you happy... ;)

German open infers anyone could be in it not just germans

Hate to be 'picky' but it wasn't the German Open - it was an individual meeting called the "Golden Ribbon" which did indeed have other nationals partaking as below:

Results Speedway Olching

1 Martin Smolinski (D) 14 points, 2 Michael Hartel (D) 12 +3, 3 Piotr Pawlicki (PL) 12 +2, 4 Piotr Swist (PL) 11, 5 Patrick Hougaard (DK) 10, 6 Tobias Kroner (D) 10, 7 Marcel helper (D) 10, 8 Przemyslaw Pawlicki (PL) 10, 9 Zdenek Simota (CZ) 8, 10 Mark crack (D) 5 11Fritzenwallner (A) 5, 12 Erik crack (D) 5 13 Robert Lambert (GB) 4, 14Erik Poodle (E) 3, 15 René Deddens (D) 1, 16 Valentine Grobauer (D) 0

It wasnt me who said it was the german open, not a star studded event then which was my point, still well done to smolinski for winning it and he will go well at poole tonight, rode well at gp challenge so he should remember where the bumps are!

Mr Newman as you put it was our number 8 last monday but didnt a ride, he could have taken a replacement ride but dyer was preferred, ok dyer only scored 2 but they could have been vital points. Newman may score a few but unlikely against a very good reserve pairing.

Typical remark from a Poole hater,...

Brummies_Ste isn't a "Poole hater". He simply "pirates'n'pastes" (see, Poole have to get in there somewhere don't they?) off other web sites.

2 Cracks and a Poodle? Wonderful.

Sounds like Google Translate is at it again. The guy's names are actually "Erik Pudel" "Erik Riss" and "Mark Riss" ("Riss" can equally be translated to "rip" "tear" "crevice" "fissure" and others), but don't let Google ruin a good laugh for you...the same Google Translate that turns Seb Ulamek into Seb Fractions, Adrian Cyfer into Adrian Digits and Dawid Lampart into David Leopard!

Gutted no Dyer tonight. Micky has the ability to pop out and score vital points andNewman will have more than his work cut out to replicate that. I hope Kyle gets some practice laps in this morning or afternoon otherwise it's going to be very hard for him to score a point or two.

Glad to see Rohan return, though I hope he is 100% fit for the job. If her is there's no problem but if he comes into the meeting carrying some effects of his crash it won't help us.

A nice sunny dry day down here today and no fear of the weather ruining what should be a cracking meeting. We need at least ten points to take to Brum and I am not sure we will get that. But whatever the outcome its a joyous occassion for Poole fans to be witnessing an Elite League Playoff Final for the 4th time on the bounce. Magificient.

Really looking forward for tonight. Bring it on!
