foreverblue
What about his Aussie connection ! So you only have to be Australian to be a Poole agent! Blimey that will be why Schlein didn't guest for Swindon. Edited October 1, 2013 by foreverblue
SteveLyric2
What about his Aussie connection ! I think he threw his boomerang away..... or spat it out? I can't really remember which?! Â In all seriousness, this final is a close one to call and can't be based on the league results as others have pointed out. Brummies have 5 riders who go very well at Poole, so I expect only a small points advantage for Poole to take to the 2md leg, when I feel Brummies will have the slight edge. Â BUT, I thought that against Swindon too so who knows what can/will happen?! Edited October 1, 2013 by Skidder1
david2905
I don't see that at all, have Birmingham ever failed to score less than 40 pts away this season.?  Just once unless I'm mistaken, unsuprisingly at the Eastbourne triangle.  I'm quite happy for people to write us off if they wish, they have been doing it all year, and some still don't seem to get not having an out and out number 1 is not a handicap if that strength is deployed elsewhere.  I agree if Bomber shows form that it could be a close final over 2 legs depends what Agent Doyle has in mind !!!.i think Poole will nick it though.  That agent Doyle that's now a Swindon asset you mean ? Jason doesn't answer to Master Ford anymore  But the Brummies beat a team who wee missing a 10 point rider and his replacements score 6 and 2. Tai would have been good for 20+ That 12 extra points for Wolves would have made it a lot closer. Are the Brumies that good? Covatti needs a better meeting thats for sure.  Can only beat what's infront of you, I think your doing the Wolves a disservice anyway as at full strength they would have been pretty close to Poole/Swindon performances. Poole Quay 7
It would be complete madness for Poole to go into this final being complacent of this spirited Brummie team and I honestly think it could go either way!? Â Look where a bit of complacency got Swindon last night.
Kester
Are the Brumies that good? Â Is anybody that good? Â Brummies have carried Bomber all season and had Barker and Auty out-of-sorts for large parts of it. Â Wolves started like a train, suffered with injuries and sub-standard replacements, and have limped to the seasons end. Â Poole started terribly, 56 re-declarations later they made the play-offs but don't look bullet-proof. Â Swindon had the best team on paper but Kennett was poor, had iffy reserves and been hurt by absences of key-riders. Â It's a season that's had some interest due to the close nature of the league table but the fact that Brum, who started with an unfancied team and have carried their number 1, topped the table speaks volumes. It's not about who's been the best this season, but who has generally been least poor. FWIW I suspect Poole will beat us relatively comfortably over the two legs. We have a chance but it'll need everyone on top form on Monday.
Vincent Vega
Looking forward to watching Poole choke in the final like they did in 2010 and 2012.
Wackie
Poole maybe favourites, but the Brummies have a far superior team manager who'll get the absolute best out of his team. Got to be worth an extra 6-8 points over the course of th 2 meetings.

The Know
Well i said all along Poole would beat Swindon and they did. I believe Poole are coming into perfect form at the right time of the year. Poole to beat Brummies home and away My £100 bet at 16.1 is looking better every day for Charity Bring it on.  Looking forward to watching Poole choke in the final like they did in 2010 and 2012. Not a chance, with Poole starting to fire on all cylinders we will cream them.
david2905
Â He's right, Middlo may as well just sit on Matt Ford's lap as he's already operating him from behind anyway, if that's the way Poole want to operate fair enough, but don't make Middlo out to be influential when we all know who controls the Poole side, Middlo was working of his own accord for Team GB and we already remember those wonderful team selections... Â I can't seriously believe Middlo can usually always find decent foreign talent for Poole, but can't see Danny King is a better and more consistent rider than Lewis Bridger. Gavan
another smug poole blue tint. Middlo is hopeless tactically we all know that. He is Matt Fords puppet and his cry baby antics drive me up the wall. last night on that ploughed filed Josh hits a rut and goes in the fence and that clown blames Hans!! clueless!  As proved by his selections at the World Cup
david2905
Did I imagine it last week or did Hancock say he was struggling in his first 2 rides at Blunsdon because he was struggling with setups for tracks he hasn't rode in years ?, the thought occurs he has never even seen Perry Barr before.

Did I imagine it last week or did Hancock say he was struggling in his first 2 rides at Blunsdon because he was struggling with setups for tracks he hasn't rode in years ?, the thought occurs he has never even seen Perry Barr before.  Fortunately for us Perry Barr is a lovely wide track and is quite similar to Poole.

That's not his job. He's team manager, not head hunter! That is (evil head wizard) Matt Ford's job, which clearly he is doing a lot better than most  And in regards to Team GB... no offence to our guys but there is hardly a lot of decent talent out there to choose from is there... The best team manager in the world couldn't of saved Team GB.

Vincent Vega
At least Poole manage to get to a final...whatever the outcome. I bet last nights result must have gone down a storm in your household  It will be funnier watching Poole lose in the final than the semis. So I werent that bothered!! Pearson will be gutted when Brum win and you can write the script for the Pirates with Middlo and Ford saying no one expected us to get this far and Shovvy on here saying the same.

Dunno if they will get much of a crowd for the second leg Shovvy will watch it on telly!!  Robins in the final already."   Therefore Vincent - please forgive me if I don't take any predictions you actually make seriously.    Now please can we get back to far more important matters like this final which could be a very close affair? And after all, you have to be in it to win it!? Edited October 1, 2013 by Poole Quay
