comet49
Suppose it is the bigger meeting for him, not good for Ipswich fans though. Speedway!! Good luck Rene.
Super Blue
I have to admit my interest in attending this meeting has just waned somewhat having woken to discover the latest change in the Witches lineup . Although I want to see them sign off with a win its not really going to be my team out there and will be of far more interest to Worky fans anyway . This may sound harsh but im seriously thinking of saving my hard earned cash for the upcoming 16 lapper finale to the season and giving Thursday a miss . The weather forecast is also looking seriously dodgy anyway .
Arson fire
Shows how stupid this sport is where a rider can guest against the team that's trying to topple his own ..still....Edinburgh should win in a canter.
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
I agree that its difficult to summon up much enthusiasm for this one but it will still be the last home team meeting so although we are battered bruised and patched up I will be there to show that Ive been proud to be a Witches fan this year. Weve been competitive and exciting and despite just falling short at the end its been a decent year. It is long way better than the dark days of struggling in the Elite. Who knows what 2014 will bring but however the leagues are set up I settle for the type of entertainment Ive seen this year.
Arch Stanton
Strange one regarding the entertainment. At the mid way point of the season I'd have agreed with you, but for whatever reason, the second half of the season the entertainment dried up for me. Same track, similar preparation, so a strange one. No silverware, but worth remembering that we finished runners up in the league table, and only missed out on topping the final table in heat 15 of our last meeting. Pretty good considering most predictions pre-season didn't even have us making the play offs.
Baldyman
Will be interesting to see how many rolling flyers, oops I mean good starts that Bach can get away with with the witch on his chest. That's if it's on and I bother going.
jenga
thought chris louis was not going to have guests from any of the top six teams in the play offs i can see the method in this decision....double standards or is this a professional foul by mr louis. put a lot of pressure on rene to do well . once again baby ben has kicked ippo fans up the ar$e and is looking after his pocket. i think mr dreary has some thing to do with bens decision as not to ride. prey for rain, then you can boo baby ben on his return to foxhall the following.(only kidding) support your team no matter what or who is riding for them.... cumberland classic on saturday, only 10 pounds to get in, think there is a free programme as well. Taylorj
Alot of pressure at No 1 in this meeting now for Rene, expecially knowing what it means for his own team the Comets . Obviously Barker keeping himself for his elite team on Monday . Mixed feelings about the match with only a patched up Ippo side I have a feeling the Moanarchs will relish on their misfortunes and gain something if not everything . Stay safe Rene, Come on the Witches !!!!

That's if it's on and I bother going. Bach AND Klindt? Edinburgh must now be hoping and praying for a no-nonsense referee on the button. Bach will at least try if he doesn't get a flying start though. Klindt won't.
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
I keep thinking I mustve slipped into some strange parallel universe - cant get used to all these Comets fans cheering on the Witches! Strange one regarding the entertainment. At the mid way point of the season I'd have agreed with you, but for whatever reason, the second half of the season the entertainment dried up for me. Re the second half of the season - possibly hasnt seemed as good due to Sheffield Glasgow and Plymouth meetings all coming in that time which were too one sided to be classics. Even then Cams win in 15 against Plymouth was one of those cliche 'worth the admission money alone' races. 2ndbendbeerhut
Bach and Klindt for the witches, hope the track is super slick like last week and its a different ref. ....... rolling, rolling, rolling ! :-)
Baldyman
They probably probably prep it really grippy this week, which it should have been last week
ekimba
I personally dont agree with using a guest from a team in the same play off group, but there are no rules to stop it so we just need to get on with it. I think based on our recent travels that we may struggle to get the required points unless all our riders gel at the same time, if that happens then we could be in with a shout of getting the points we need. (heres hoping)
Al Stewart
Surely very harsh to complain about Barker's absence, he's always been a rider who has turned out whenever he can as far as I am aware. He came all the way up to Armadale recently when he could have waited for a home match comeback.

Bezza
Strange one regarding the entertainment. At the mid way point of the season I'd have agreed with you, but for whatever reason, the second half of the season the entertainment dried up for me. I could'nt agree more. It may have something to do with a sequence of opposition from the foot of the table but even with the glorius summer and additional head cound via the "kids in free" we still had some processional racing and real lack of dominance in our performances, none more so than our play off match when the Witches just never got going on the night! Am not fussed with teh 16 Lapper to be honest. In view of the injuries, I would prefer to see a best pairs, 3TT or 4TT meeting and including Kings Lynn and Rye House riders. Maybe young Lambert could put in an appearance.

He must have forgotten how to roll out them starts on Monday then , his performance or lack of it might have brought him back down to earth, or was it that dislocated knuckle that will amazingly have right itself come tomorrow night ,You couldnt write it , only happen in speedway
Al Stewart
I must remember not to wander into an Ipswich thread again. The same happened last time, it descended into an almost surreal level of drivel and unpleasantness. I'll leave you to it.
