didnt do most of the youngins at Glasgow much cop?? ... It's not joe that gets on the bike for them.  None of those riders are riding for Sheffield next and as it has been pointed out Joe was neither the Team Manager or Team Coach at Glasgow.  You can't turn a Fiat into a Ferrari! Ferrari is a top of the range high performance luxury car.  How many top riders ride in the Premier League?.
Arson fire
So how is having joe as manager a masterstroke??.... Havvy was a great rider arguably better than joe...but didnt cut much ice as a manager last season.... Â Btw going by joes twitter he gave plenty advice up at Glasgow.... Does it matter what position at the club he is?? Â For all we know joes advice or man management might be crap yet people automatically think he will be great because he was a decent rider... Dcb7
It's ok saying Joe didn't pass a great deal of success passing on his experience to the youngsters at Glasgow, but he also had to set up all his own equipment, and get himself organised for riding at meetings. I think it's a great appointment personally, managing a speedway team isn't as involved as being a football manager. No fantastic appointment. A statement of intent. Cue Ball
Let's all wait and see shall we?..... can't wait Stop making sensible suggestions! Â Isn't Joe a bit different anyway, in that it almost sounds like he has been brought in as a coach first and foremost with manager as a secondary job title. He is there to focus on the young uns and to help bring them on in terms of set up - they can all ride a bike, but as Andre found last year, it doesn't make a difference if you can't get the bike to hook up properly
speedway_dan
Need a fast grippy track now to really see this team in full flight.
OdsalBoy
Big Joe all the way for me, a complete master stroke having him installed as team manager. I think the team we have assembled for this year is amazing. Those people who think that the younger riders will not benefit from the guidance of Screeny, Steady & Andre + Leigh - all need their heads testing ! Â Cannot wait for the new season to start . Great manager, great riders, great team.
Charlieboy
Great appointment with joe coaching and advising young riders but the key is them taking the advice,Weve seen in the past good young brits then they get ahead of themselves and go stale or leave the sport.Lets hope our youngsters take on board what he says and they reap the rewards. comet49
Can only see Joe as being a good appointment, the supporters have got a lift and the young riders will surely respect his advice, it's not as if he hasn't been there and done it himself. If they won't take Joe's advice then they probably wouldn't listen to anybody. Glad Sheffield survived. jenga
you could always put it in the oven with your pizza. eat the pizza while your t.rd is cooling down and then buff it up to a brilliant shine while it was hard and crispy, the turd, not the pizza.. Blackadder
Members of the consortium to be made public and progress on the new fence?
Dcb7
Ok, if we have nothing to talk about why don't we speculate as to who the new consortium consists of? I wouldn't be surprised if the Hunters from SWC are one of the parties along with Wosscow Brown.....pure speculation though.
