graz gp
I think we should all wait until we have a new owner before we pick the team. Still a lot of issues to be sorted out before we have racing at Owlerton next season. As for Ben Wilson another backwards step, we should move on. Steve55
Just read in todays Star {local paper} that Sheffield have missed out on Lasse Bjerre due to uncertainty of club running next year. Machin really needs to get things sorted ASAP!

Machin really needs to get things sorted ASAP! It doesn't say that at all, this is what it says, "Tigers have entered into negotiations with two more riders over the festive spell. Club officials are refusing to be drawn on their identity but they’ve been forced to rethink their plans after missing out on Danish star Lasse Bjerre who has joined Peterborough." no mention of uncertainty of the club running but don't let that stop you misquoting, after all this forum thrives on it. Cue Ball
Would have thought that missing out on Bjerre would be as much to do with him being a Peterborough asset as anything else

proud panther
Bjerre was aware that he was in Panthers new owners plans a long time ago, so think Sheffield was back up if the takeover collapsed at Peterborough.
spin king
It is a shame that we have lost out on Lasse Bjerre. But I believe that he is a Peterborough asset and the chances were that as soon as Peterborough announced that they were running they were going to be favourites to get his name. The ownership of the club is proving to be frustrating, But Mr Machin is perfectly entitled to get as much money for the club as he can get, and with more than one interested party he will be getting as much as he can for his investment while hopefully securing a future for the club. And I am still amazed even with team filling up there are still potentially plenty of riders out there for the club to go for and still have what I think will be a competitive team for us to support. The next two signing could well be for the lower end of the team, but lets not forget the two signings are for the top end of the team so the chances are they could well be the lower end of the team that get sorted next.
DIAMONDS
I want to see morris get a team 1. Simon Stead 9.33 2. Simon Nielsen 4.36 3. Adam Roynon 7.81 4. Andre Compton 4.36 5. Nick Morris 8.84 6. Facundo Albin 3.62 7. Kasper Lykke 4.04? or Jake Anderson 3.97?
spin king
Or we could go with an exceptionally top heavy top 4. (1) Stead (2) Albin (3) Roynon (4) North/ Klindt (5) Morris (6) Koppe (7) Greenwood

spin king
This would cost "how much". Good team though. Very expensive, and I don't expect it to be the Sheffield team, but put it out to basically emphasis that there is still a raft of riders out there who could be or are available, and there is more that are possible signings that could be available. I have to admit that I am pleasantly surprised that there is so many potential signings out there for us still to go at.
graz gp
If we don't have new owners who no's what the budget is for team building. It baffles me. Imo that's why we have not signed any more rider's. The sooner Mr. Machin makes his mind up who to sell to the better.

I didn't actually "quote" what it said in the press release, but if you'd taken the time to read the previous article from the 24/12 you would have seen that it says that "Sheffield have already missed out on at least 2 potential signings due to the uncertainty surrounding the club ownership - one as recently as Friday when an international star snubbed the club because nothing was delivered in writing." That is a quote as is it is in "quotation marks"! Wonder who that international star was? You don't have to be a rocket scientist to work it out do ya!
