manchesterpaul
Oh and the Brummies website has crashed again! Not so much "crashed" as deliberately switched off by the people who "look after it" on behalf of the BSPA. Apparently the flow of traffic to the Brummies site was overworking their server so much that we became a threat to the usability of other team's web sites...like...well...pick a name... Gee surely they wouldn't do that? They could be costing them business as general sports fans or lapsed supporters could likely be trying to access the site to see when the final is etc. At the moment the error message says the site doesn't actually exist! Well that would certainly stop newcomers from coming back and chasing up any queries. Normally if a site is overloaded you see a message saying so not something saying it doesn't exist, very, very bad administration there not to set up a simple message.. "Web Server's Default Page This page is generated by Parallels Plesk Panel, the leading hosting automation software. You see this page because there is no Web site at this address. richsimpson
Just another example of the short sighted promotion of speedway. Giving overall web hosting rights to individuals as a Monopoly. Very dangerous when those individuals then have axes to grind and can chose the times to take a website offline and cause maximum damage to a club. No wonder new promoters like Sandhu walk away from the sport with all the bullrubbish politics behind the scenes. Hope that Alan and Chris can tolerate the stupid actions and lead the 2013 champions to another title in 2014!!! Pathetic!!!

iand
Thought it was very good PR letting the riders amongst fans at the end of the match. Watched this at the end of Sky coverage last night, did all the riders mingle with the fans? I wonder if the same happened at Poole last night? Villain
I have it on good authority that an extension to the 10pm curfew was not applied for. If the moaners who tried to prevent full planning permission had their ears to the wall last night we'll probably get a kick up the arse from Birmingham Council. On the other hand if you follow the Lord Mayor's Twitter account, he's suggesting a Civic Reception for the Brummies.

I was amazed they bothered with heat 15 tbh. All over, didn't matter and it was gone 10pm.
david2905
To be frank, a lot of the overrun was Sky's fault, the riders were ready just after 7:30, but heat 1 didn't get underway until nearly 7:50 due to Pearson waffling and a lengthy intro to start with, followed by frequent interviews with Darcy and regulart advert breaks, no doubt they would have also been the first to complain had the Brummies said that's your lot at 10pm which was around heat 12/13 from memory. If sky want a lengthy intro, put the bloody programme on at 7pm and lets get heat 1 underway at 7:30 on the dot.
TheScotsman
OK he's not Number one material, but Cook was still appaling. Appalling is a bit harsh. A steady first ride followed by an off in the thick stuff in his second. This resulted in a dislocated knuckle. So not surprised he pulled up in his third/final ride. Didn't know about the knuckle, wasn't his third ride the 2nd T/R though ? bit silly to give it to him in that state then, would of been better with Scornicki. Well said and i am sure many sane speedway fans will agree with your thoughts. Tonights Biker F.M. show should throw more light on this topic or so i have been told. Listen in folks and be amazed at the goings on in speedway!

SpeedwayTShirts
It appears discussions re the Birmingham Website are not permitted on the BSF. The thread on it has disappeared almost as mysteriously as the Birmingham Website did on Monday night. And people say there's no inner clique...........
