manchesterpaul
Do SkySports know that there is a 10pm curfew here? What happens at 10pm? will we see police swamping the track with batons drawn and hurling tear gas towards the starting gate?
Bagpuss
If races were over half a lap Klindt would be World Champion.

stevebrum
7 points over 2 legs from Tai`s guests tells its own story. Says something when Klindt is our best rider on the night. Well done to the Brummies on the expected win and final progression. BWitcher
The way the Brummies are riding, its hard to see either Swindon or Poole beating this side, but all it takes is a couple of bad performances, and with Barker/King and Smolinski, its possible, but cant see it. What do you mean, the way they are riding? They made heavy weather of beating a top heavy side. Wolves picked up 8pts from 9 rides from Woffys rides. He would have scored a min of 23/24. Wolves would likely have won over 2 legs. Their 2nd strings did a lot better than normal against Birmingham. Congratulations to Birmingham BUT they are going to find it a HELL of a lot tougher against Poole as Darcy Ward won't be scoring 8pts from 9 rides against them. If races were over half a lap Klindt would be World Champion. Not correct. If Klindt was off gate 3 or 4 every race he would be World Champion. It matters not if he gates on the inside as I have said time and time and time again. He loses the speed on the 1st 2 turns, they come alongside him on the back straight and he goes to the back. If he gates off 3 or 4 he is gone. Tonight once again proved that. 2 great starts off the outside 6 pts.. 3 races from the inside gate, including 2 good starts.. 2 pts. He did miss the gate in his final outside race.. Home leg.. 2 great gates from the outside gates 6pts.. 2 great gates from the inside gates.. 0 pts. Sadly Wolves have an utterly inept team manager who is too clueless to take advantage of this glaring situation.

BWitcher
It was a tongue in cheek remark I know, but it wasn't far off from being the truth! Wolves had a rider at reserve who they could have engineered to have 6-7 races from the outside gates where he wins the vast majority of the time! Its staggeringly bad management to not take advantage of that. Staggeringly bad. Edited September 30, 2013 by BWitcher
Poole Quay 7
7 points over 2 legs from Tai`s guests tells its own story. Says something when Klindt is our best rider on the night. Well done to the Brummies on the expected win and final progression. Well done to the Brummie boys easily beating the weakest team to reach the play-off semi-final's Commiserations to the other Wolves fans and particularly those that made the local trip. david2905
Unlucky Wolves, with a full strength side you would have given us a hell of a battle, OK he's not Number one material, but Cook was still appaling. I'm running out of compliments for the Brummies tonight, Doylie lead from the front and was unlucky not to get his maximum, Auty looked better than he has recently and Covatti is getting sharper with each match. To be fair, I got the feeling we backed off after heat 10 when the odds were stacking against the Wolves, taking wins where possible, but not taking unnecessary risks, no point making a kamikaze move when 12 infront and turning up at Poole with R/R and a guest is there ?. Totally understand that, reality is though, the tie was handed to you on a plate by that stage by the performance of Wolves 2 guests at No 1. The 2nd strings of Wolves actually scored more than was expected. You're not going to find Darcy Ward scoring 7 pts over 2 meetings so will need to step it up another level against Poole. It's a shame in a way that such an anticipated clash was ruined by Woffys crash in the GP. It really could have been something special. In saying that, from a Brummie point of view, it is and was something special, you can only beat whats in front of you and you did just that and now can enjoy your place in the final. Brummie Kev
Absolutley fantastic that we are in the EL grand final , I must congratulate all the Brummies riders and managment for what they have done to get us to this postion. Its been a tough season as a fan with all the off track stuff going on but we have a final to look forward to now and I cant wait!! Thought the meeting wasnt the greatest with Wolves not putting up much of a fight, but some excellent performances from the likes of Jason Doyle ( as ever!!), Danny 'the cowboy' King and Bomber was on the gas tonight aswell. Josh has struggled a bit recently but looked much better tonight and he is vital to our chances in the final. A massive thank you to Ben for riding through the pain barrier, he did great. Just wish Sky would have showed the semi finals over 2 nights and not on the same night. The delays between heats were tedious at times, and we ran over the curfew at Brum which is 10pm. They must have had permission to extend it this match, I hope so anyway!!! Good Luck Brummies in the final!! Oh and the Brummies website has crashed again! I woulden't expect to realistically beat Ward & Hancock, it's how the Brummies tackle Pooles other 5 that will determine the outcome. Given the choice I'd prefer to be playing Poole over Swindon, Swindon had strength down the order and could pose the Brummies problems in all departments, Poole's lower order is better this year that what it usually is, but they are still top heavy. uk_martin
Oh and the Brummies website has crashed again! Not so much "crashed" as deliberately switched off by the people who "look after it" on behalf of the BSPA. Apparently the flow of traffic to the Brummies site was overworking their server so much that we became a threat to the usability of other team's web sites...like...well...pick a name...
