Poole Quay 7
Over 24 hrs still to go and already the anticipation is kicking in. Good luck to the Poole boys because I think we will need a bit of it to get through! As always, may the overall best team win and lets hope all the riders finish the meeting with a clean bill of health.
A ORLOV
Weather now looking better for Poole, but will check lunchtime mon, if free, before deciding to pop down for this. Could do with a nice lunch on the harbour front, pop into the George then see what should be a decent meeting
Steve0
Perhaps we should follow their lead. Put out a team they can't afford, win the league, go bust and then start again. I'm surprised Matt hasn't thought of that one - he's tried just about everything else!!! Tungate is hardly your trump card is he? (And I hope he gets well soon). Last year you blamed injuries - it seems that's the reason you are using again this year - oh and the fact you think Swindon can't afford their team. I hope the same THJ and Josh G that turned up last week for you do the same this week. May the best team win COYR

Steve0
Cheers for that.. Just making a valid point. You could always use it as an excuse for next year when you WOULD have walked all over us this year As I said before - may the best team win! (As they did last year!) COYR SteveO doesn't do valid points! Thank you So you think saying Poole WOULD have walked all over Swindon last year is a valid point? Bagpuss
Hmmmmm, Birks scored a hatful on his last Pole appearance so I'd say his absence is just as significant as Tungate's. Looking forward to this, hopefully the track will be in good shape as the tie is perfectly set up.
kenny bee firefly
Your chances have improved now Rohan is injured. Feel sorry for the guy, been with us all year now cant ride in our most important meeting. He does intend to be there supporting us though. Gutted for the kid to miss out and i wish him well in his recovery from injury but he has been a bit hit or miss around poole lately and r/r hardly weakens the pirates !! orion
RR will score a lot more than Rohan who has been poor of late and with Swindon missing Birks who scored 13 last time at Poole I think Poole might just have the edge now .
TheReturn
Perhaps we should follow their lead. Put out a team they can't afford, win the league, go bust and then start again. Or follow the Poole lead and try and BUY your way to the title with Ward, Holder and Hancock you wind-up merchant. It's comments like this by you Shovlar which is why the majority of neutrals want Swindon to win.
E I Addio
Most people with a bit of common sense know the Poole promotion work tirelessly for the club and if other clubs were run the same way the sport would be very healthy indeed. Most people with a bit of common sense know you have never run a speedway club, have no idea how other clubs are run, or what challenges they face or how hard they work and therefore you are in no position to comment. Typical Poole post sneering at other clubs.

And Hancock is a straight replacement for Chris.. RR will score a lot more than Rohan who has been poor of late and with Swindon missing Birks who scored 13 last time at Poole I think Poole might just have the edge now . You could be right.. IF, THJ shows.. Edited September 29, 2013 by Starman2006
thecoombdog
A massive blow for our chances and a real shame for the lad. Doesn't seem we can take on Swindon when it matters with our full lineup. Can't see Swindon losing now which is a shame. Perhaps we should follow their lead. Put out a team they can't afford, win the league, go bust and then start again. Shut up you complete twit. Tungate has scored about 6 points against us this season in 3 matches. Only a complete tool would think that weakens you. As for the money situation, Poole will be running at a loss this season after your 20k investment in THJ and Pawlicki and the probable cost of bringing Hancock over. I cant imagine any club will make a profit this year. Pretty sure you lost money last year when you made the final so surely this year will be worse when you have no final for extra income added to the above reasons.

BluPanther
Rohan scored paid 9 against Lakeside in his last outing at Poole But he would never score paid 9 against the Elite Lge champions...Poole are not weakened by his absence IMO.
