Crump99
THJ and Ward will cut the gap to 6 points after heat 1. Then the meeting is alive. Very impressive when we were there: Heat 01: Fisher, Bjerre, Ward, Jonasson. 1-5...60.

A ORLOV
Whats with the "other" Pirate fans? When did you desert the Panthers - glory hunter!!! It changes teams as often as names and meeting predictions, it is a game that children play
foreverblue
Honest question to other Pirate fans. Would you take 45-39 going into Heat 15 with the pick of gates if you had the option to? No because without holder a 5-1 is very unlikely. Very impressive when we were there: Heat 01: Fisher, Bjerre, Ward, Jonasson. 1-5...60.34 I think that is what you might call a freak result
Tom Turner
Honest question to other Pirate fans. Would you take 45-39 going into Heat 15 with the pick of gates if you had the option to? We would still need both of Swindon's riders to fall off or suffer engine failure for us to achieve a 5-0 and win on aggregate so from that point of view, no. But if we did achieve a 5-1 it would it go down to a very interesting 2 rider run off featuring who I expect would be Darcy Ward and perhaps Troy Batchelor there and then? Or will both meetings be rerun? Edited September 26, 2013 by Synikalle

Crump99
I think that is what you might call a freak result No, that'll be Monday if Swindon leave empty handed! This is a play-off thread.. Something which you Panthers fans are not used to. Not recently that's true but we like to do it with a clear conscience rather than the ends justify the means, or the 2013 Poole position as it'll be known until 10pm Monday, unless it rains of course!

Tom Turner
So a freak result then. You think a dialed in Poole side at home can't win by 11pts? Sky are reporting it as if Poole aren't even in contention. Anybody who watches Poole week in week out will tell you this is what we do... We bounce back against the odds every time. I think there may be a lot of surprises in store from the Pirates on Monday night. Edited September 26, 2013 by Synikalle

Crump99
You are correct Fraud will try any thing to win He'll have the machine examiner buzzing round the the Swindon pits from arrival until heat 15. You can picture Rosco on Sky (I'll have to picture it because I'm watching Everton v Newcastle) complaining about the interference: Tyres, exhausts, carburetors, cut outs, fuel etc, I'm sure Ford'll have given him a check list. You think a dialed in Poole side at home can't win by 11pts? It depends who they are riding against doesn't it? Against a dialed in Swindon side who have a nice lead and 2 tactical rides in hand if needed then no I don't. thecoombdog
Morris fit for the 2nd leg. He rides at 2 and Kennett switched to 4. Do any Swindon fans who watch meetings in the Steam know if they allow kids in? Thanks in advance.

Tom Turner
You are correct Fraud will try any thing to win What?! You're obsessed. When it comes down to the racing it is only the riders that have any effect on the outcome. Mr Ford won't be there in the pits shutting off fuel supplies and slashing tires will he? It depends who they are riding against doesn't it? Against a dialed in Swindon side who have a nice lead and 2 tactical rides in hand if needed then no I don't. I think it is all within reach of a fired up Pirates side. Edited September 27, 2013 by Synikalle

And as a number of Poole fans have been saying all season, the rider order should be changed, BUT not now - its too late in the season to start changing things as riders are used to their pairings - unless its r/r for THJ of course?! Wildcat Steve
Its the Robins to loose they did the job in the first leg Poole did well to fight back. The Robins have a great side and can go well round WR. Poole have fought all season and will fight to heat 15 on Monday. I am proud of what they have done with the injuries we have had. Its not out of reach for Poole a couple of early 5-1 could change everything Speedway is never straight forward so will be there to cheer the Pirates on and watch some great racing.
