Newcastle V Ipswich League Cup Final 2nd Leg Sunday 29/09/13

Recommended Posts

It would be nice if we refound our gating ability without getting excluded for this meeting .

Would also be nice not to need tacticals and bring home some silverware which I believe we deserve after a generally good year .

Alot could depend on Bens form as he seems to have been good for Brum and not Ipswich since his return from injury . If our guest reserve can pick up a few points that could also have a bearing .

If the Witches ride like they did at home against Worky they've got no chance but if they pick it up a bit its gonna be tight and could well end up as a last heat decider .

The club coach trip was scrapped due to lack of numbers!

Maybe just a few hardy souls so be kind to them please.

Updates only for me.

With Rohan now out, it really looks like we will end up with no silverware again. It really is going to be a disastrous end to the season. 2 chances lost last season to. Let's hope there is some fire left in our riders, Ritchie showed plenty last night. Personally I would only keep Ritchie and cam, from this season and maybe Ben and Adam, whatever happens morten has to go.

Its nearly time!

Last chance for the Witches to make a difference in 2013 after last nights defeat.

Ben has been below par in the first leg and both play off matches and we need him to be be that real No1 today.

Morten we need to be Morten - world beater one day novice the next - youve had your novice days this week time for the other!

Cam,Leigh and Ritchie all pretty consistent - more off the same will be great.

Best wishes to Rohan - get well soon rubberman! Lets hope the boys can bring home the right colour medal.

The Witches deserve something from 2013 and I think they can get it. Just a shame that if they do it may well mean Newcastle who end up empty handed again abd that would be harsh on them too.

Two top sides who have helped make 2013 a great and exciting year in the PL.

Up the Witches!

I take it Rohan Tungate is injured, will be missing tonight and Ipswich will use R/R for him.

Presumably this makes the witches weaker as Mr. Tungate scored 8+1 (from 5) on his last visit to planet Brough! So both sides are weakened and using R/R. Maybe 12 points will be enough for Ipswich but the Diamonds will be highly motivated on their home track to overcome the deficit. A lot depends upon the riding of Andrew Tully and Ludvig Lindgren

Demolished two sections of the solid fence with the bike literally breaking in two by all accounts.

Described by a number of Worky fans as 'a truly horrific' type of crash.

Somehow seems to have escaped with only a concussion and a broken finger!

If Tungate is out that certainly gives the Diamonds a better chance but one thing is for certain we need Tully and Lindgren on form. If either basically fails to turn up as they didn't at Redcar we have no chance.

They both owe us big performances.

Sounds a lucky escape, didn't he already have a broken finger? He seems like one of those riders that have many big offs.

He certainly seems to go for the spectacular!
