dantodan
The result of the first leg at Ipswich was 51-39 so Newcastle now know the size of the task facing them. I noticed on Sunday that Morten Risager withdrew from the PLRC. Must be a worry for Ipswich whether he will be able to ride at Newcastle. Does anyone know if he is ok? There has been no mention of injury for Morten so should be ok. Adam is injured and presumed out - NL guest - no formal announcement as yet 12 points exceeded the expectations of even the most optimistic Witches fans and gives us a real chance. Very even IMO. This may well go all the way to heat 15. 50-40 to the Diamonds with Leigh winning heat 15 to secure the Cup!

Josh Bates Would imagine Bates will be riding for Mildenhall in the afternoon - is Louis hiring a supersonic helicopter to take him to Brough Park Josh Bates has been booked to ride for Ipswich (vs Workington) on Thursday, according to their official website. Racin Jason 72
Adam has a decent average so would Steve boxall fit ? If not I'd go for Ben Morley
StevePark
Adam has a decent average so would Steve boxall fit ? If not I'd go for Ben Morley He's the lower of the two reserves (Hawkins 4.07, Ellis 4.06), so NL guest only, I'm afraid.
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Adam has a decent average so would Steve boxall fit ? If not I'd go for Ben Morley Boxall has been above 4 in the PL previously so not elligible. I agree Morley seems in decent form. There is an Airfence fund meeting at Buxton as well as Mildy meeting so options may be limited!? Would imagine Bates will be riding for Mildenhall in the afternoon - is Louis hiring a supersonic helicopter to take him to Brough Park All of his rides could be 'virtual' on the Louis inside track facility - Im sure Chris could get the arrows working so that Josh picks up some points! Baldyman
Ipswich, I'm sure we will have a very good go at throwing this away too.

If we go down poorly at Worky then I will agree with you on this one. However lets see what happens there first. C'mon boys - what do you want to be winners or also rans - its in your hands! Bash
Informed last night that Benji Compton replaces Adam this weekend.
Baldyman
Is that a good or bad thing? Don't think he is that great but maybe he was the only choice. I would imagine that now firmly puts the final nail in the coffin.
Bash
Well if Ipswich can't win this on aggregate with a twelve point lead and two tactical rides then they don't deserve to win it.
dantodan
Well if Ipswich can't win this on aggregate with a twelve point lead and two tactical rides then they don't deserve to win it. I totally agree with you Bash. If Ipswich cannot protect the 12 point lead there is something wrong as they are a good side. I cannot see us beating you by more than twelve points as each time we are likely to get 10/12 points up (wishful thinking), you will hit us with TR's. Well 2013 was a fairly good year for the Diamonds with the bright spot being the riding of Lewis Kerr who has been scoring points that some of his team mates couldn't match despite them having much more experience than Lewis. Baldyman
Yes we may be able to use tactical rides, it doesn't mean we will score well from them though.
