Daniel Smith
Well done Middlo. For once he's straight to the point and spot on with regards to Ward. But, he falls short in laying any blame with the FIM.
Leicester Lion
Can't they just change the rules so Poole can bring in a replacement?
heathen chemistry
they'll use doyle as guest....
pointsmeanplayoffs
Poole can only use a guest for Darcy for 30 days right? What if no replacement is made today? Come playoffs time in October, Poole won't be able to use a guest then what? A 6pt NL rider?

Jason.C
I would suggest it would be "save the best till last" and try to make the best of a bad situation. With tai and Bjarne injured, it doesn't bode well. Tai is highly unlikely to want to guest now he is nursing an injury, struggling with fatigue and still very much in the title race. The title is still very much in Kings Lynn's hands.
Pirates Of Poole
Matt has had 11 days to think of a plan B in case this happened, to be honest this was always going to happen. Poor preparation and short sighted if you ask me.
jeff
I nearly choked on my dinner just now when I opened today's Speedway Star and read Matt Ford's quotes: Â "If they choose to ban him on Friday or Saturday, they totally screw my team and my business. That needs to be taken into consideration. You're not just affecting the rider". Â "Anyone can guess what's going to happen to him, but no-one actually knows. Fingers crossed he gets away with it because obviously we need him desperately for the play-offs". Â I don't think Matt is grasping the bigger picture here - rules? right and wrong? morality? ethics?
The Pedaler
...t then what? A 6pt NL rider? Â They'll need those for their "Fast Track Reserve" team places. Â Dear oh dear. Bettaware will be making a fortune selling buckets to speedway fans up and down the country whose hearts will be bleeding for Poole now. Jason.C
It may be enough earlier in the season, but this is very much the business end of the season in the GPs and play offs. We are not talking about a second string or reserve here, this is a no.1 heat leader position and all the top guys are tied up with other commitments. It's his fault and nobody else's. Ford signed him and took the risk. Edited August 28, 2014 by rmc
Jason.C
I didn't say it was anyone else's fault. My answer was in reply to other comments. I am just as disappointed as the other Poole fans.
heathen chemistry
is this karma for bending the draft rules i wonder........  though he would of had a plan b ready just in case.... not forward thinking then  doyle and babycham to guest if sawfootinhalf rejects fords offer..
arnieg
Well come the playoffs who will fit regarding guests. Saying that, doyley is option forgot about and will probably be the best bet. Don't the terms of his work permit prevent him guesting?

FRANK THE FALCON
Pirates our whinging not got time to sign suitable replacement and going to have to use guest for rest of season. Well sorry Poole you've only got self's to blame if you grown set balls and sacked him 2 weeks ago instead of sticking up for him you would had plenty time before today's deadline to get replacement in.
