scribbler
All this over Smart and Compton, It's not like they have had a major influence on meetings and Poole haven't gained an advantage. It's not their fault that this draft rule was brought in, the real culprits are Lakeside and Lynn who have both benefited from this rule hugely. Â Will you be saying the same next year ... Don't forget that Poole now has a link with Scunthorpe...
stevebrum
So Poole replaced Smart with Compton but Compton couldn't take his place as he got injured. Makes sense. Â Smart was released before the Aces match in Manchester but Compton wasn't injured then as that happened the following Saturday. Doesn't make sense. Â Maybe Smart wasn't released until after the Poole match on the 30th but then Poole can't sign Compton as he's above Smart yet the Daily Star say Comptons missed out due to injury. Doesn't make sense. Â Aces had TBC for Poole on their website 22/04/14 only to find Greenwood in place the day of the meeting. If Smart was dropped for Compton where was Compton? If Smart wasn't dropped where was he? Â Why have a press release in the Daily Star 5/5/14 saying Compton missed out on a team spot for Poole due to injury when he could have ridden at Kirky Lane in place of Smart? The report should have read Compton missed out due to new ratings coming out after Smarts final match that saw Compton move above Smart. Â Poole = cheating scumbags. Makes sense. Â Poole have broke no rules, Shovlar and his fellow tints say so.
SteveLyric2
Â Poole have broke no rules, Shovlar and his fellow tints say so. and still nobody can quote the rule that has supposedly (but not) been broken!!
Steve Shovlar
Could you then please add in the other posters who are accusing Poole of the same. I am not the only one saying it. I thought all teams had to have declared riders in there team positions, i must be wrong then. Asked you lunchtime to tell me which rule Poole have broken. No reply from you. Clock is still ticking.....tick tock tick tock.... still waiting for an answer. Poole have broke no rules, Shovlar and his fellow tints say so. tell us Poole fans which rule has been broken. Still waiting. Tick tock.......come on answer the question. Or you realise you are just trolling a Poole thread, throwing false accusations at Matt Ford and Poole.

Bagpuss
Â Isn't there a rule that a team has to have seven declared riders? One would have thought so, and therefore there must be a deadline by which time they must name a number seven?
thecoombdog
I honestly can't see what all the fuss is about. Most people (me inc) have moaned that a Poole/KL final is nailed on already so what difference is swapping Smart for another gash draft rider going to make? Its Benji Compton at the end of the day. I never thought I would see the day where the topic of conversation in the Elite League was a 6 point NL rider and how its unfair he will be named in a 1-7. Shows how far down the sh1tter the top league has gone! Â Poole won't win the league because they signed Benji Compton! So everyone should calm down and stop ranting. Its actually embarrassing seeing some of the hatred towards them on here. People seem obsessed by them.
heathen chemistry
compton above smart in the draft list , so that rules him out  As for retrospectively signing him well that should not ever be allowed , that would open up a whole new can of worms , all clubs will then jump on the bandwagon saying they signed such and such before the new averages came in etc etc, which would make british speedway even more of a joke to outsiders  stick to the rules , as they are now which rules out compton
