Eastbourne 2014

Big links to Gustaffson and Lahti being on ideal averages for a diluted Elite League in the last programme in Trevor Geers notes , I seem to recall. I think most on the terraces would say its imperative that we keep Mikkelsen he will only get better.

Gustaffson and Lahti are on great averages in the new league but how many chances do you want to give somebody. Noted Danny King has handed in a transfer request today , I know Arlington isn't one of his favourite tracks but his away form could help us whilst he gets used to Arlington.

I'd prefer a fresh approach with a new no.1 and CJW and Mikkelsen from last season but whether the promotion see that as an option I doubt.

They are on those averages for a reason, personally I think there are better options on those kind of averages and changes are needed if EB are ever going to offer up anything on the road again.

Wouldn't mind King, he has local roots and is pretty consistent.

Mikkelsen and CJW need to be the first two names signed. With Andersen, Bjerre, Pedersen, Nicholls there are options at number 1 but Agreed Mikkelsen on that average is a must. The other rider to target is Bech who is in talks with an Elite team.

Yes Bech is in talks with an EL team - an EL Wednesday track, as he stated in the press release on www.speedwaygp.com despite the fact he is also captaining his Danish team on selected Wednesdays!

He does not say its a Weds track. Something you know that we don't ? Bech been seen on Matts boat in the harbour ? :D

So with no Holder at Poole will we be looking for a new number 1? Hopefully we won't make the same old mistake of going with "strength in depth" again and actually sign a decent number 1.

(Yes I admit he did a solid job last year but I was talking about who might take on the role)

In the article Bech says the EL track he is considering going to is a "difficult track to ride". Based on the state of the Wimbourne Road track most weeks it is obvious he is talking about joining Poole........ :D

Bech has signed for Lakeside which I think is a great signing for Hammers. The team with the difficult track to ride was Peterborough, with whom he was in talks with. Shame because I think he could of been an excellent signing.

Andersen has signed for Coventry so another potential #1 has been signed elsewhere.
