There is a practice session again this sunday 11-3 the last three have had good turn out from various riders of ages and abilities. For me it has been good seeing all of the different riders from the lower division as apart from when there is a second half at Eastbourne and on the whole most of them have looked pretty good round Arlington.

Also for anyone interested in going to the away match at Leicester on the 26th April a coach is being organised £20 per person plus entrance money etc has been alot of interest so far so hopefully we can get this on, if interested please see Karen she is usually at the large gate in the pits and she needs to know by end of March she will be there for Joonas's Testimonial and the first league match. She may be at the press and practice too just ask any member of the track staff and they can point her out to you or if you can't make any of those meetings and are interested in going then drop me an e mail through here with some contact details and I can pass them on for you.

Timo steps in for injured Kim Timo Lahti has been drafted into the Eastbourne Lifestyle Eagles team as a temporary replacement for the injured Kim Nilsson.

The Finnish rider will be at the club’s Official Practice on Saturday (March 22) and will line up against Birmingham in the first home match on March 29.

Club co-promoter, Mike Bellerby said: “We have received approval from the sport’s management committee to reintroduce Timo to our team as a temporary replacement for the injured Kim.”

He said it was hoped Nilsson, injured in pre-season training in the USA, will be back racing early in May.
Lahti was originally left out of the Eagles’ team for 2014 but was immediately placed on stand-by once Nilsson’s injury became known.

He rode for Eastbourne in the 2011 to 2013 seasons.

There is no charge for supporters to attend Saturday’s Official Practice. Admission to the stadium will be from 12.30pm.

The team is set to go through their paces at the practice, although all but Mikkel Michelsen have tested at Arlington this year.

Co-promoter and team manager, Trevor Geer, will be talking to the riders about the team’s riding order for league matches and the positions they will occupy.

He said: “It is our first opportunity to be all together this year. We will talk things through before I make the final decision.”

Geer warned supporters not to read anything into the numbers riders wear at the practice.

“These are being used to help our guests from the media with identification and that’s all,” he said.

The practice is likely to be over by 2.30pm to allow for preparations to be made for that evening’s Joonas Kylmakorpi Testimonial meeting (7.30pm).

Looking forward to Easter we seem to have a real problem on Good Friday. Lewis should be riding for Peterborough and Danny for Mildenhall.

As all Elite teams are in action where do we get replacements from? This could hand Lakeside a double victory as both their reserves appear to be available.

Well with these new averages coming out who would make what changes if any? I would take out lahti, pedersen and maybe kylmakorpi.. as to who to bring in maybe kim nilsson, kenni larsen or a big name as a no.1 maybe a gp rider that wants more riding and risk losing him on some saturdays

Another bad away performance from the Eagles. Kim Nilsson should come in for Lahti or what about Eddie Kennett making an Arlington comeback.

Kim yes to replace Joonas not Timo think Timo has done much better than Joonas who has not really impressed me this season so far didnt want him back in the team if im honest.

Changing the subject slightly it seems slightly unfair how Peterborough seem to have first say on Lewis

Why should Eastbourne have 1st dibs on him ???

Im not saying that we should but it should be more fairly worked out as at the moment is all going Peterborough's way there should be an even split for instance if theres ten matches where both teams have meetings that clash then each team should have five matches each to have Lewis ride and this should apply to any of the elite league/premier teams who share a reserve. I seriously think unless a fair solution is found many promoter's will want to change this system for next year.

How many away wins have they had?

So far managed to get one point away at Swindon.

Eastbourne are strong at home but really struggle away which could be a big problem for them

Is Blackbird a Eastbourne asset?

No he is not, as if he was then we would get first say on him. Lewis is owned by Ipswich who don't want to sell him as Eastbourne have tried to buy him.
