SteveLyric2
How? The injury to Holder was the only down point and you were able to replace him with a 2x world champion and world number 4!! Terrible years are what happened to Lakeside last year. Bad years are Kings Lynn this year with injuries. Matt Ford has done well to replace riders but that only happened because of Wards injury. terrible year makes it sounds like it was all against Poole this year and that is a million miles from the truth.
Steve Shovlar
It's INTELLECT you utter pleb! Just a heads up. Attack the post not the poster. And I will not be bullied by you, or anyone else who throws abuse in my direction. Edited October 6, 2013 by Steve Shovlar
The Know
A lot of you seem to miss the point. Compared to normal this is a very bad year for Poole. Difference is Matt has put his hand in his pocket and brought in good replacements. He is not afaid to change the team as he has done in the past. Other teams can do the same, if they don't have the cash that's there problem, promote better!

And I will not be bullied by you, Gavan Stevebrum or anyone else who throws abuse in my direction. Bullys should never win. Trouble is there are some promoters who think opening the gate at 6.30 pm is promoting.

Yes they can't promote very successfully and unfortunately have champaign taste with brown ale money :-)

Ive never denied Matt Ford does whats best for Poole and he moved swiftly to get riders in. The riders he got in strenghened Poole when Darcy got injured. thats not opinion its fact. The loss of Holder was crippling but Matt did the right thing and got pretty much a like for like replacement. You cant state that Poole have had a shocking year injury wise it doesnt add up. If Darcy hadnt have got injured you may not have seen a THJ or Josh in your side and you may never have started winning matches. All i ask is for a reasonable post to acknowledge this but all we get is Poole have done really well to get into the play offs which quite frankly when you have 2 of the worlds top 5 riders in your 1-7 it should be a cakewalk
The Voice Of Reason
And I will not be bullied by you, or anyone else who throws abuse in my direction. It wasn't an insult - clearly you don't know the actual meaning of the word 'pleb'. I suggest that you refer to it's origin, and subsequently learn something. Notwithstanding this Mr. Shovlar, it's fine for you to throw insults at people by perceiving them to possess little 'inTERlect', but you cannot accept an example of somebody basically proving that YOUR personal intellect is sadly lacking. Truly incredulous.

Steve Shovlar
My intellect is very good thank you. A small typo made whilst posting hastily in a packed shop of customers that need dealing with is hardly criminal. Enjoy your day.
mickthemuppet
How can anybody say thank goodness this season is over when we have a BRITISH world champion for the first time in 13 years PS Did Mark Loram have a wig on?

How can anybody say thank goodness this season is over when we have a BRITISH world champion for the first time in 13 years PS Did Mark Loram have a wig on? Exactly! It's been a cracking season but watch out, Gavan, the Voice of Reason and the other depressives will be after you! Been a super season of racing, and last night was a superb meeting with a great outcome. Tomorrow sees a mouth watering battle between Poole and Brum with more of the same next week. Possibly the best speedway season in a few years if you stay out of the politics and enjoy your sport. Don't let the depressives tell you any different. Steve Shovlar
Not a crime, but shocking customer service. LOL! Yes perhaps I shouldn't be on here with a shop full of customers but it's gone a little quieter now it's lunch. Expect the hordes back in half an hour with hopefully bulging wallets. Gemini
Did Mark Loram have a wig on? lol. Wondered that myself as I can't remember him having a great deal of hair when he last rode. Typical middle aged man trying to look younger. It will all be tied into a ponytail next.

Did a double take when he came on screen.
