pugwash
I remember it. The Walford Lions in the 'Imperial Leather' sponsored KO Cup final versus the famous Weatherfield Wickdippers at the old Rosamond Street stadium. Heat 1 Kevin Webster got excluded for touching the start line.................girls. Team manager Ken Barlow said "It's what most young people do these days, isn't it?" Meeting was declared a result after 10 heats when match official Leonard Rossiter found Rising Damp on turn one. As for those who no longer go... they are at home watching the soaps!
