Jacques
Yep, he was your 4th top scorer in the 'A' fixture with 5 points!! He was unlucky to only get 5. I wouldn't go with unlucky. But he certainly rode well for them 5 points and is more than capable of a couple more this week. That was cos Newman kept getting in his way! markyb
Guess I deserve it for my criticism of the "great" bomber Harris on various threads - but the stats don't lie. In his last 27 starts away from home for coventry (per kandysoft and last night at wolves) he has achieved just 1 (yes one) straight win. And yet they are calling for Ryan's head. The way things are going the season ends the first week in September. But who am I to criticise - just a punter who cares - but no longer a reason by all accounts. I have been likened to Robert72 of Leicester fame by the "great" Gemini - well i reckon we both got Passion for our speedway teams doing well and not putting up with average (or below average) performances. If that is a crime or to be ridiculed, then so be it. I was always so critical of mr shovlar at Poole, but now I understand where he is coming from. British speedway has so much wrong with it at the moment it's untrue. However, one or two pieces of good stuff are Garrity and Sarjeant at Coventry - 100 % effort and well worthy of their team places for the entertainment - which is what I pay for to get through the turnstiles. Happy days

Harris has been disappointing and stating that is one thing. But describing him as an embarrassment is a bit harsh!

But describing him as an embarrassment is a bit harsh!Yes, admit I wrong to describe as such for elite league racing, but as Grand Prix "star" - how else would he be seen ? Although for the record - his last 46 starts in coventry colours home and away have resulted in just 4 straight wins ! Need I say more ? heathen chemistry
take it the coventry management are'nt serious about reaching the top 4 , otherwise larsen would of been signed by now, ryan fisher has done ok so far , but larsen has been on fire in poland
LagutaRacingFan
Is Larsen actually interested in the UK? He was concerned about his arm and the amount of fixtures that he could actually handle, He's slowly building it back up to full fitness but I'm not sure If he can take on all the fixtures. Aww......just take that with a pinch of salt as you're nothing like Robert72 really. It was only a jokey comment. Me bad person. You are concerned about the Coventry team and their performance but he just goes on and on about the Leicester track, like he's gone on and on about the Ryan Fisher collection. After so many posts on the same subject it just gets a bit boring. Anyway .....carry on.

Be interesting to see if he averages more than what KK did last season. So far for me he's had one maybe two good meetings all season. Larsen for Fisher is a must. Hans has dropped over a point of his average. Bomber has dropped under a point. As a % of their average they've dropped damn near the same. If one is bad then so is the other. In fact, look at their figures with bonus points, Harris 7.22 and Hans 7.73. Bomber is only half a point behind but they started nearly 2 points apart. It also looks like Hans sucks at Brandon but is doing quite well away. Same with Kenneth Hansen - who was signed for his Brandon form!! After so many posts on the same subject it just gets a bit boring. Anyway .....carry on. Hey Gemini, you been so supportive of my posts in the past - didn't really take it badly - but am I being too hopeful ? What fans need to realise is that they are probably one team supporters - I born and bred in Coventry and will always support and want the best for my team and am what I consider loyal for my home town club - hence my negativity on the plight at the moment. Ask the likes of Chris Harris where his loyalty is. Reckon his answer will be different on a Sunday when he rides for his Polish club and again on a Tuesday when he rides in Sweden and whatever other country he has a team in. Question ? Where are his best bikes - reckon these are following him around the GP circuit - but which country are his next best ? Probably the ones which pay him the best for points and appearance combined. To be honest, why should he not do any different as he has his family and life to think about - and only a limited number of years he can ply his trade. Not just mr Harris but every other rider on the speedway scene. As uk speedway fans are we really getting what we deserve. My opinion in no ! In my opinion, riders such as those in the national league (coventry storm for example) are the only ones worthy anymore, Happy days !
