Midland Red
It appears that Peter York will still be with us , but he will be confined to the pits area with DJ Bart on the centre green. A good move in my opinion. Usually a Norman Collier impression from the pits - unless they've sorted out the system! Overall, thanks to co-promoters Mick and Neil and Operations Manager Blayne! Dave Jones
Usually a Norman Collier impression from the pits - unless they've sorted out the system! Thanks to co-promoters Mick and Neil and Operations Manager Blayne! You are right , that has been a problem or quite some time now. If we can get a decent presentation from the centre green then that will be an improvement.
Gemini
.......Mr Mungo..... Am I missing something? Yes. The fact you've only heard Yorkie 3/4 times says it all. Well done to the promotion for listening to what the fans want. Now can you please ditch the National Anthem?

mdmc82
Brilliant. Great to have a promoter who listens to the fans feedback and response. Thanks Mick. Looking forward to tonight.

mdmc82
forget the presentation and music, SORT THE TRACK! Tonight was one of the most boring meetings I have seen in ages with Summers one of the only riders to make a pass. What's the point having a team of exciting racers if gonna have a gate & go track? Doing well away but losing too many points at home because of it being slick/ dusty every week
speedybee
Well done the promotion again for listening to the fans. Now maybe they can listen to their own riders, who are deafening us all with requests for more dirt on the track! SORT IT OUT!!!!! That was one of the dullest most depressing nights of speedway 'racing' I've witnessed in a long time.
TheSmiler
Harris to go and be replaced with a 8-9point rider.
dump that clutch
If Danny King can get fixed up doubling down, surely the Harris can do the same....?? There averages must be close... ...
Robbobee
Steamin !!! Absolutely steamin mad !!! Why oh why do we have a track as slick as Kojaks bonce when we have a team of so called racers ??? Tell the idiot of a track curator to put some bloody dirt on it ! Not withstanding the above - why does it 'catch the home riders out' ? For christ sake we know it's going to be slick so set the bikes up for slick - it worked after ht 10 ( mostly anyway ) Never gonna win anything with this team - Hans past his best now, Harris can't gate and on tracks like this can't pass either, Hansen is slower than a cart horse at present - Fish has other things on his mind and Kyle -noow Kyle is good but he 's not always there ! Reserves are doing their jobs. New averages out soon - need to ditch Hansen and get Kenni Larsen back if we can - might just make play-offs then ... Rant over - but still annoyed - god that track is even worse than the bore fest at Leicester !!
Fozzie4388
If Danny King can get fixed up doubling down, surely the Harris can do the same....?? There averages must be close... ... GP riders can't riding in the PL can they? Sure that rule was brought in after Stoney's GP career.
SCB
New averages out soon - need to ditch Hansen and get Kenni Larsen back if we can - might just make play-offs then ... Won't fit. Larsen for Fisher would. Harsh on Fisher but he's just unfortunate that we lack a 3rd heatleader and his average fits well enough to get one in. GP riders can't riding in the PL can they? Sure that rule was brought in after Stoney's GP career. AFAIK there no such rule. I think it existed pre-Stoney but it was because of Stoney it was ditched. Bee 26
Boring meeting on a slick track, need to learn how to gate if the track is going to be slick every week Need to make some changes as the current team is just not good enough. Harris needs to go, Hansen is all talk and another non gater. Fishers engines seem to have died of death and obviously no cash isn't going to help. Started the season so well but he seems to be fading. Hans is too inconsistent, has 3 good wins then gets beaten far to easy. Needs another heat leader to back him up The only good thing to come out of tonight's meeting was not having to listen to York as much!
JT
If Danny King can get fixed up doubling down, surely the Harris can do the same....?? There averages must be close... ... Going on the averages from the BSPA website, Harris has a lower average than King (6.61 versus 6.71), so could sign for a Premier League team on 11.02. Before his career took off with Coventry, I seem to remember Bomber guesting for a few Premier League teams in one of his first full time Elite League years (he guested for Newport at least once and was excellent), and whilst things weren't going brilliantly at the higher level, I think he credited that PL spell for helping him finding his feet again. Given he's been dropped by his Polish team, was woeful on Tuesday in Sweden, and a disaster so far in the GP's, maybe a spell in the the lower league, if only as a machinery test bed and confidence booster, would do him good? Although he hasn't been brilliant for the Bees this season, I genuinely think his heart is with Coventry (he seems to have a passion for the club, which is a rarity in speedway) and after a spell such as that above, could be a useful heat leader come the end of the season. JT. EDIT: I was right, I'm not making things up for once! He had a series of guest performances for the Wasps in 2005, this was the one I most vividly remember as he passed Pijper in heat 15 for a one point victory... http://www.chrisharrisracing.com/news_ind.php?subaction=showfull&id=1116782954&archive=&start_from=&ucat=3& Edited May 9, 2014 by JT
Sienna Ryan
It is funny how the Bees riders are moaning about the track when Coventry visited the Abbey track conditions were woeful but they were happy to race on it then. Wasn't it Swindon who didn't call this meeting off though even though been raining most of the day?
SpeedwayTShirts
I fulfilled a long time goal last hosting an Elite League Match at Coventry. Many thanks to the Coventry Management for bringing us in to do the presentation and music etc. In particular big thanks to Neil and Blayne for all your support. Saw a different Bomber last night throwing some shapes in the understand disco afterwards, top bloke Any pointers or comments happily received and looking forward to the next match 👍
DizzAssStar
Saw a different Bomber last night throwing some shapes in the understand disco Unfortunately for Cov fans he now seems unable to do the same where it counts ...... on track!! Like a few others methinks that sadly Bomber is now well past his "best before date"?

That was one of the dullest most depressing nights of speedway 'racing' I've witnessed in a long time. Horton has requested more dirt on the track, he says so on press releases and also Blayne has commented on it. I wasnt there last night but it seems it was very dull.
