Gemini
Grachan..............................“It all goes back to the change of ownership of Coventry Speedway last year which automatically cancelled our visas.“I went to take care of it and my own visa got sorted, but it turns out those for my wife and kids didn’t."They were technically here for six months illegally even though we didn’t have any knowledge of it.“There is now a 12-month ban for over-staying so they cannot apply again until next January. I understand they want to tighten the borders up, but this makes no sense.“We have a business here, we employ six British citizens and pay all our tax and national insurance. We always do everything the right way, but my family are not currently allowed back in to the country to do it.
Grachan
In which case they weren't aware of it, which is different. The current immigration red tape in this country is totally draconian. I hope they get it sorted soon.
weatherwatcher
Can any of the Bees supports tell me what is the significance of the rutine that Bomber goes through at the start of his races, I found it even better watching him live tonight at Leicester. Play with the engine hand on left hip hand on helmet. Touch clutch and trottle cables and then slap his right arm if it got it the right way around. I know he does it 3 times I think. But what made him start it and what does it mean to him. Answers soon I hope

Gemini
Must admit I hadn't noticed Chris Harris before - but I will now. Definitely remember Chris Louis though as he used to take ages going through his ritual.
weatherwatcher
Bombers ritual is great to watch, my grandson find it very amusing. He was even going along with him by the end of the meeting. He certainly seems to be back to his old form, just hope he can keep it going. I had really thought that he days in top flight speedway where finished. But it looked tonight that what ever had gotten into his mind, be it from the acidents he had in the past or just a mental block he seems to have got over what ever was holing him back.
TMW
A mention for Jason Garrity he rode so well last night although, maybe made a couple of mistakes I was pleased for him, even though he was the opposition . He took a lot of stick when he rode for the Lions and I think last night he silenced his critics. Well done Jason!!!!

Fundinfan
So according to BBC Cov Warks on Twitter "Ryan Fisher says he's prepared to quit the sport if his family isn't allowed back into the UK". As raised by Woz1 earlier. Good luck with that Ryan - just when he was looking like having a good start to the season. Immigration rules are there for a reason! Have to disagree on this one. There must be a reason why their entry has been refused. It's a shame for Ryan and his family though. The fish would certainly be missed, but as you say there will be a reason, just like there was a reason for 'poor' Billy J!
dj350z
Ryan Fisher has been ordered to take 7 days rest by doctors following his high speed crash at Leicester last Saturday.

Bomber has got worse, some riders look a nervous wreck twitching away at the start, tapping away at there bike and pointing towards the sky. It would put me off at the start being next to somebody doing the above. I know nerves and all that but really !! Have to look closer at other riders now.
mdmc82
Ryan Fisher has been ordered to take 7 days rest by doctors following his high speed crash at Leicester last Saturday. It seems to be one injury after another for the Coventry riders at the moment, not having much luck. Glad we are not riding for a while as hopefully this will give time for the boys to heal.

Are you sure it's not his constant waving, winking, and kiss blowing to his girlfriend sat in the stand? Coventry_Bee
If he's happy why shouldn't he wave at her... As long as he remembers the fans on the 3rd bend of course... In fact I think he should even stop and give you a special wave Gemini, sure Hansen would!! Crowd pleaser all the way.

It's just something I observed at the meeting on Friday, which is why I'm passing comment. As for Gem, if he reads the forum, I suspect she'd get a two fingered wave .... Gemini
Don't know why I've been brought into this as I've not said anything about him not acknowledging the fans since he last rode for the Bees and I can't even remember the year now. Was it 2012? He's been a very good lad this season so far. Of course from what Jacques is saying about his girlfriend sitting in the stand it could only be because he has to go by the 3rd/4th bend to get to the home straight.
