just wondered what any of this has to do with Poole? he is a workington asset so as long as they are happy who cares what Poole think?

Perhaps dropping him in favour of yet another foreign ringer has something to do with it?

its not unreasonable to want to ride for a club that supports British talent rather than chuck it away?

its fairly obvious too that Middleditch resigned as team GB manager because Poole would have voted against the two brits at reserve, even he couldnt face that one down.

POOLE promoter Matt Ford has vowed to move on with building a team to defend the Elite League title following Kyle Howarth’s surprise exit from the club.

Howarth has joined Workington on a full transfer, albeit with a buy-back option clause included, and will double-up with Coventry – but Ford is unhappy the reasons for Howarth’s transfer request cited the travelling distance to Poole.

Ford said: “The geographical position of Poole is nothing I have any influence over and when we have such tight points limits to work within I can only afford to have riders in my team who are fully committed to riding for the club.

“I am fully committed to putting a side together which I believe is capable of successfully defending the league title and will now move forward from this episode with that goal in mind.”

in the meantime he will be popping down to Wimborne Rd, to remind himself just where the switches that control the hot water in the visitors showers are situated. :D

Saw this rumour surfacing the weekend so not all that surprised it has been confirmed.

Coventry have done things the right way, it is nothing to do with Poole anymore.

Typical of Poole. Sell an asset then put in a buy back clause so they can mess around any deal Kyle wants to do in the future.

Think Kyle cutting his ties with Poole is the best thing for the lads future. Let`s face it they have hardly helped his career so far and the former England manager has done diddly squat to help either.

Coventry do look to be assembling an attractive side so far with potential the key word so far.

Fair play to them, tho i must admit i did prefer them propping the table up this year ;-)

Coventry putting a great team together, the only cringe is the relationship between team manager and number one rider. If Garrity goes there and BV get Kerr, then could be some good battles next year. Don't think either of us will be in the bottom half.

Kerr will be at Kings Lynn.

Nothing to worry about. We all know the only way Coventry can get close to Poole is to tap up their riders and offer double the points money.

Let's be honest. Looking at the Coventry top five there are two words that come to mind. Also dans. As usual.

Illegal approaches is the only way they think they have a chance but in truth they are miles behind Poole in every department.

Let them have their five minutes as that's about all they will get. If it had been Poole who had made an approach like this it would run to fifty pages. As it's not it's all Ok then.

Howarth has made a huge blunder by chasing the money over how he would do in the long term. Good luck to him though as he looks up to see Pirates at the top as usual.

Off for a beer at Epcot. Cheers!
