mdmc82
Very impressive surprise signing. Credit to Horton for putting together a strong top 5, I really hope they all ride to their potential as all very good riders esp at Brandon. TrueBee
Looking very good for next season! He'll certainly feel more wanted at Brandon!
Steve0
I would have liked him back at Swindon but obviously he couldn't fit in the proposed team we've heard nothing about
Bagpuss
Just waiting for Shovlar to charge on here in due course and blame Coventry rather than his own club or the rider Well done to Coventry for being on the ball, stick Garrity in there and they look much better than last season.
TheSmiler
Gotta say I was NOT expecting this side. Add in Garrity who we surely must sign and we mean BUSINESS. Well done mick. Utterly shocked, this is the year he finally gets it together. Top 4 for sure. Absolutely thrilled with this signing. I guess he really meant it when he said he's listening to the fans who said they don't want any riders returning.. BRING IT ON! TheSmiler
It's a bit premature to say its a top 4 team when most teams haven't completed yet. No, I agree with you...but compared to rumoured line ups, it's promising.
Steve0
No, I agree with you...but compared to rumoured line ups, it's promising. Well I wouldn't mind knowing Swindon's lineup - if you have it
Game On
Perhaps your riders want some money up front before signing.
hyderd
great signing for Coventry, now what was some Poole fans saying?
Steve0
Perhaps your riders want some money up front before signing. Why would that be - we have an excellent promoter in Peter Toogood who has replaced Patch - so your joke is out of date! And all the money in the world doesn't guarantee a team - look at Peterborough - and both Brum and Swindon (and all the others who kept quiet about their money troubles) are still running Edited December 1, 2013 by Steve0

Crazy robin
You've got Howarth anyway!!! If the rumours (and the tapping-up fine!?) are true?!! Maybe Horton borrowed the "tapping up" book from Matt Ford as he's the master at it.
houdi
Well I didn't see that signing coming, thought he was nailed on for Poole. Please let it be that Horton signed him by text.
GM
Kyle was never going back to Poole that's why Mr Ford sold him to Workington because if the crack is true Kyle was quoted as saying he would never ride for them again. Hence the change of heart from Mr Ford to sell him.
abbo
Well done Mick Horton looking forward already to next season, let's hope Tuesday brings the right result, I hope Garrity is number 6 then we have to see.Well done again Mick you really mean business.
A ORLOV
Kyle did well at Swindon for a rider of his experience, looks to be a reasonable 1 - 5.
JamieE
What a nice surprise this sigining is. Great work by the club to get a rider of Howarth's potential in the side and nicely completes the top 5. A much better and more exciting signing for that final spot than I was expecting in light of the options which looked most likely. Time to wait and see how the other sides pan out but definitely looks more promising for the Bees and hopefully a good season ahead. Should be entertaining if nothing else with some good racers in that squad. I'm actually looking forward to speedway again!
Pirates Of Poole
There is a buy out clause in the deal with Workington, if they wish to sell Poole will get first refusal. Coventry have received a fine for illegally approaching a rider without permission from the club that owns him. Howarth was offered a lot more than Poole were offering
