I see Kenneth Hansen is riding at Brandon in a open meeting , as good as any rider I've seen round there , very good with the fans as well , top bloke

Kenneth as also signed for a club in 2014 already

He flies round Brandon so no surprise if he will be coventrys first signing for 2014

thought he'd got a club in the pipeline , not actually signed for anybody , panthers management never had a bad word for him , whoever signs him ,will have a rider who gives 100% everytime he comes to the tapes

I agree about Mads and the rest, but you're putting Scott out to pasture already?

Scott's a Bees legend, for his contribution to 2005 and 2007 above all. It never really felt right for him to return last year (how could you ever top the former glories in the black and yellow?)

I'd be sad to see him gradually losing his edge and turning into a second string, but only he will know how long he intends to go on.

I happen to think that he'd be fantastic team manager, though maybe too early yet to hang up his leathers?

Can't see him hanging up his kevlars just yet. Although I wouldn't like to see him in the a Robins side again, I still think he can do a Floppy or Smoli - both of which were on way down and then peaked. If lower points limit and one big league (or regional) then I think he would do well for you - certainly better than R/R Allen

Think it can be said Havvy hasn`t motivated the team especially the number one, even on the track walks the team walked in split directions Poles one way, english speaking the other, Don`t think Havvy will be back next season he`ll fit in better at Poole.

We don't half read some rubbish on this site Jason Bunyan he rode with Nigel Boocock or nearly did we want new blood, for the Coventry supporters who saw some of the young blood on show last night they should realise that the days of Bunyan, Ollie Allen etc are history, two young Swedes riding in the Grand Prix last night are what we should be looking at something for the future not living in the past. God knows where Speedway goes from here but as an old man unless there are major changes to Speedway in this Country there will be no Speedway.

Coventry seem to be in a weird situation by trying to build a team that won't finish rock bottom again. Assets of the club are either not wanted by the fans or they dont want to ride for the Bees while riders on loan from other tracks seem quite happy to stay if their parent clubs allow.

With the Sky deal looking dead in the water, the points limit will no doubt be much lower in 2014 and a top three of Nicholls, Harris and Zengota could be a strong trio and Aaron Summers should be considered. However if there was a complete rebuild, could see Bees grabbing a big name like Chris Holder or Fredrik Lindgren but thst would mean a much weaker second heat leader like Zengota.

Keep Zengota and give Sundstrom some time to recover over the winter and if he's fit then him too.

Everyone else can go, Nicholls in particular. I'm one of his biggest fans, but he's declining now and will only continue to do so, he may have a season or 2 left of being a 7 pointer, but I want to remember him for the 2005-2007 era, not a declining rider.

Failing that - stick us in the Premier League away from all the crap that goes on in the light-heartedly called 'Elite League'.

I said exactly the same thing after the last Bees meeting. "Nicholls should retire" were the exact words I used. He can still pull out the odd great ride but when I compare him to the rider that rode for us between 2005 and 2007, it is sad to see how he has declined. It's inevitable though. Age catches up with us all.

That's not to say I don't think Nicholls has anything to offer. Far from it. In a weakened league especially, he has a good few years left in him.

My comments were based on not wanting to see him go into some sad decline like, for example, Havelock or Screen. Gradually losing competitiveness in the top league (this is already happening) and the inevitable drop down to the Premier League in a few season's time before gradually declining there too.

It was sad (but inevitable) to hear the collective groans of dismay when Bees signed Screen. The reality of what he had become totally overshadowed the memories of the great rider he once was. I would hate this to happen to Nicholls too.

Should he retire... Yes. In an ideal world.

Will he retire... I can't see it. After all, it's his livelihood.

Think bth Bombers and Scottys best years are behind themnow, but if the league is weaker without so many star riders, these two will be two of the biggest names in the league, so both may get 8+ averages once more in a larger more competative and financially sound EL. Coventry should benefit if Leicester do move up with KK linked to #1 for a change.eing lined up as their #1.

Personally I think they would be better off making a new team with Kenni Larsen and Edward Kennett back along with Summers and possibly Smolinski or Barker back to form a decent top three. Either that or they look at Wolverhampton or Poole and see who they keep as #1 as both are very unlikely to feature two big names along with five National League riders and would think Lindgren and Holder would be allowed to go on loan to another track. Lindgren being a Brandon specialist would certainly give them a true '

we always say in a weakened league harris/nicholls should improve there average, and every year they fail to do so. not sure what the answer is to be honest. If the rumours are true that matt Ford will be in charge of the league, id rather drop down to the PL!

But we all know Fraud has been pulling the strings for years so what's the difference if he puts his name to it next season?
