Woz01
MJJ has shown little commitment to british speedway, and from what ive seen of him he hasnt really been on ace form , yes he is talented, but if he's not gonna try hard enough he's more a liability than an asset for coventry to win the league this year it would of taken MJJ to finally wake up and perform at his best , which didnt look like it was gonna happen barker on his best form can emulate the same point that mjj has been scoring things will depend on how good he performs hugely .... I agree, MJJ has been ok nothing more nothing less. Barker now has the pressure on him to perform, if he can average what he did last year then we will be ok. Difference is MJJ would probably have raised his game in the playoffs and won it for the Bees, as he's at his best on big occasions. Barker does not have the ability to do that imo... I'm glad you put probably , the highest probability is tho come end of sept it's most likely the tracks will be rough and he'd scored bugger all

Now he is likely to be in the rest of the GP's he will focus on that and try to impress to get a pick. In an ideal world we all know Mjj is a better rider but in Britain the margin between him and Barker isn't that great. The change certainly makes sense if Barker can ride in the Eastbourne double header I couldnt see mjj missing gp practice in Vojens
Bee 26
MJJ would have to turn up first! Wasn't impressed with his performances for the Bees, yes he has talent but rarely showed it. Barker will get stuck in and won't be afraid to mix it up Happy with the replacement
deanr1
I used to really enjoy watching Barker ride for us a few years ago, He should go pretty well round Brandon and in reality what else could the promotion do? MJJ is just another of those riders who can't be arsed with the EL, far more talented than Barker yes but if he's not giving 100% (which he doesn't) then the difference in points scored is not that great. MJJ did nothing if he didn't make the gate and was mostly rubbish in the heat 15's he was involved in. At least Barker will hopefully get stuck in and will certainly do better than the NL riders we would have had to use to replace MJJ. It would have been great to get Danny King (I don't know if his average would have fitted though?) but he'd already signed for Lakeside before all these problems came to light. Welcome back Ben, I hope you do well.
Penny Cross
Is Barker fit and able to ride? Got knocked unconscious at Peterborough on Tuesday. Reported as approx. 3 mins. Concussion is a nasty injury. Didn't ride for Plymouth last night. Edited August 30, 2014 by Penny Cross
SteveLyric2
Concussion should mean a minimum 7 days out!!!!

LagutaRacingFan
MJJ has that aura about him which Barker lacks. With Jepsen Jensen in their side, teams feared the Bee's Now they are like Luis Suarez without teeth.. toothless.

BluPanther
http://www.speedwaygp.com/news/article/3637/team-mjj-reunited It would appear MJJ has had other things on his mind. At least he never turned to the bottle...

Woz01
Doesn't matter what Mjj does in the GP's. Harris has out performed him for the Bees while been poor in the GP's. Guess which I care more about? I will also say two words, Krzysztof Kasprzak. Edited August 30, 2014 by woz01
