Coventry Bees 2014

Agree about Fisher, although I do think he would strengthen us in the middle order. Howarth for me is a worry as seems uneasy on a bike, hardly here, and when he is scores poorly. If it was possible I would certainly make a change to replace him.

Howarth is a worry and certainly, on present form, you would say that Fisher is a better rider. However, I'm not sure I would look to replace him as I still see him as one for the future. He started the season really well and one would hope he is able to recapture that form.

I think (as usual) the biggest issue facing this Coventry side is inconsistency. We can never be too sure what we are going to get from Hansen or Howarth and MJJ has also been hit and miss so far this year.

To all fans home or away ref the speed camera it is as stated a number plate recognition but be aware there are 30mph signs entering the the area after you come off the roundabout and the local residents as well as the police are very active all the way up to Brandon Stadium looking for naughty drivers .

Just a thought the increased traffic from 1 night per week per month (apart from Stock Car World Final in Sept ) will be a very small splash in the pond compared to the extra influx of possibly 200 cars per day from the new populated brand new housing estate which will be erected once the Stadium has gone ..

If I lived close to Brandon in my mind the 1 night option is a no brainer might be worth the Binley Woods current population thinking about .

Fisher for Howarth would almost certain our place in the final in my opinion. The team is very strong (although inconsistant) now, but with Howarth our weak link at the moment, Fisher would be a no brainer and it looks like he would fit too.

And as for Kennett, on his average as a second string that's also a no brainer. He was riding at heat leader before Birmingham sacked him, he didn't actually get a chance to ride at #2 or #4 where I believe he'd do more than a good job. He's a lot better than some people suggest.

Actually, he did, he rode at #4 in his last match for us and won his last ever race in Brummies colours, as the weather closed in.

Ed's problem though, is that he's a confidence rider. The team was struggling, and so was he. But I do agree with you. Put him in a strong team and just see how he goes. His guest appearance recently for Poole proved that.

Ah thanks for filling that in. I strongly believe he would do more than his job as a second string. It wasn't too long ago he was an 8 point rider (and that was without the silencer issue). I for one would certainly not complain if he came back to the Bees at no.2

I'd welcome him back in this position.. And no better captain alongside him than Bomber, a rider he seems to greatly respect.

Im not so sure about bringing Fisher in, his scores were very poor before he was replaced. SCB suggested the young Swede Berntzon, he looks a very good prospect. Kennett should do a job as a 2nd string so he would be a solid enough signing and as an asset we would get priority over his PL commitments.

would we still get priority for Kennett's fixture clashes though as he signed for PL club at start of season?

Think Howarth should maybe given longer as is very good rider, not had much luck with injuries. feel sometimes he is over trying. he needs to find the confidence and form from last year although always going to be a bit harder in the main team

on a plus, a lot of other teams are struggling to get many away points at the moment so must give the team a bit of confidence if we can get wins away and thats with some riders struggling.

we have to now make sure we make Brandon a stronger fortress so that we keep all our home points
