Yeah but there's a seperate thread for that Gemini and you've still got 3 years to go yet!! Pirate's occupancy of Poole stadium will likely become an issue before that!!!!!!

Massive overreaction.

I thought Ford and you Poole fans on here were telling us there is nothing to worry about. The future is "secure"!?

So how would you line up the Bees side? Would you be inclined to still have Hans at 1 to get a good gater in heat 1 but then either Harris or Hansen wouldl have the difficult number 5 spot. Someone suggested having your best rider at 3 because they have 3 rides between the tactical zone of 5-11. Some thinking to do for Havvy.

They get 3 TR opportunities at home, if you're using TRs at home I'd be worried.

Away I'd have Hansen at 3 as number 3 starts with 2 rides against heatleaders where he'll struggle. Get his hard rides out of the way early on then in the hat following his hardest heat you'll have Harris and Hans where you can use a TR. I'd also have Sarjent at 7 to get his 3 rides out of the way sooner, although it's less important as you can switch reserves anyway. I'd go with Howarth at 2 as two of his rides are used earleir and he's likely to be scoring less than Ryan earlier on.

Basically, get all the less productive heats out of the way sooner.

The away number 3 also has 3 of their rides in the tactical zone. I agree having Kyle at 2 and Ryan at 4, Ryan will gain a lot of heat victories in heat 14 which could prove crucial, need experience in that heat.

Brilliant news and 15 years is an amazing record. Coventry must be doing something right. Perhaps Mick should have a word with the Leicester promoter who seems to lose his sponsors pretty quickly.

I've been over to see your lads today.

Andersen - First time back out there on the bike but didn't look rusty. Plenty of showboating for the cameras and fast laps for Hans.

Howarth - He looked pretty quick and very comfortable on track apart from one 'moment' caused by losing his steel shoe. He'll be very important to the Bees this season for sure but I don't think anyone should have any particular concerns about him.

Fisher - Frankly he looked slow and didn't do too many laps. Based purely on what I saw today there would be a slight concern here because at that speed I can name a few NL draft riders that would take points off him. Next week's outing at B'ham should give us all a better idea though.

Hansen - Not as fast as Andersen or Harris when they were flat out but he did look quick when lapping at the same time as Andersen. He wasn't really losing much ground to him. The question mark over him may be his racing rather than gating or speed though.

Harris - It was a stop-start practice for him. His practice starts looked okay and I wonder if all the stop-start stuff was down to tweaking the clutch set-up? When he did do back-to-back laps he was looking pretty lively.

Garrity - Pick of the bunch for me. Of course all-action style riders like him can look good on their own but for me he looked genuinely fast with all the hanging off the bike stuff. He's going to be a thrill a minute to watch and I can't wait!!

Sarjeant - Sarj looked quicker than I expected too. I wonder if he's got better kit than ever before. He did plenty of laps with the Bees (and some with the Storm) and didn't look at all out of place. Certainly looked quicker to me than Fisher. He knows Brandon inside out so might just spring a surprise or two.

And speaking of springing a surprise or two I wouldn't be knocked over if Coventry finish 3rd/4th this season.

Thanks for that I was just about to ask how it went. Fisher will get it right by the time the season starts he is too experienced not to. Others have also said Garrity and Sarjeant were on the pace, they are a big reason why I think we will make the play offs this year. I think Hansen will surprise a few this year, he will certainly get the scores at Brandon. Its a big year for Howarth and the one where I think he will make the next step up but it might take him a little bit of time to get used to Brandon. Hans will be decent as our top averaged rider and can Harris be decent back up, we know he is capable and is due a decent season.

Looking forward to seeing this team in action, looks exciting in terms of racers and actual potential for the season ahead.
