Coventry Bees 2014

Surely that has to be a record in Speedway to have had the same sponsors for that long? Thank you and well done to Buildbase and the Coventry promotion for keeping their support for 11 years.

It's good to see, that's for sure. Many sponsors obviously enjoy their association with the sport - think Pebley Beach have been on board at Swindon for 13 years now, Parrys at Wolves are very long term as well. Can only be a good thing, and shows reassurance to other potential sponsors.

I thought Parry's had stopped sponsoring Wolverhampton as he had sold up? Or perhaps I'm wrong....as usual.

He's just made a major investment in his coach fleet so obviously things have changed.

There are plenty of bricks at Belle Vue if they need any.

We wouldn't touch those, they are tainted with Frauds blood money, :D

sarkey comments now but remember it has took 7 years to get to the stage where Belle vue are in their quest to build a new stadium and its still ongoing so if Coventry have the same problems with their local powers that be(and i hope they dont) i think we should keep the bricks because we will need them far sooner than Coventry do.

Did you not spot the big smiley? Perhaps your sense of humour has diminished whilst waiting for the new national stadium to appear. :D

Fair enough, all I would say is don't let it grind you down. There is nothing that individuals like you & me can do to influence anything. I imagine the majority of bees fans knew this day would come sooner rather than later, and whilst it is very sad to read we just have to hope that a new stadium becomes a reality. In the meantime keep smiling. :t:

Edit

The comment about "bricks being tainted" referred to a very underhanded situation that took place at Brandon in 2011. I expect many bees fans will remember. It was the day, that in my opinion we lost Sandhu as promoter of the bees and who knows possibly one of the reasons we are where we are today .

Probably because it's not that interesting as the season hasn't even started yet and we've got other more important things to worry about. :)

For me and very bad day in the sport, certainly the day I pretty much stopped attending and stuck to watching on tele.

Yeah but there's a seperate thread for that Gemini and you've still got 3 years to go yet!! Pirate's occupancy of Poole stadium will likely become an issue before that!!!!!!
