A ORLOV
Hans was a good captain at Swindon, but being Danish I have no idea how he will understand Havvy.
SCB
Gustafsson 5.17 Allen 5.19 according to the final issue. Is this correct or am I mistaken...Sorry, you're right. I had Allen down as 5.8 for some reason.
Gemini
N Hans was a good captain at Swindon, but being Danish I have no idea how he will understand Havvy. Don't think we need worry too much about that as I shouldn't think even the English riders can understand him either.

orion
Hans was a good captain at Swindon, but being Danish I have no idea how he will understand Havvy. Being English it's hard to understand Havvy ...there again I expect that is a plus .
JamieE
Definitely didn't see the signing of Hans coming, thought King and Zengi were nailed on for the final top 5 slots. On his day a top rider still and has to be seen as a positive move for the Bees given the way the league will be next year, slightly concerned given the issues he seemed to have with Swindon last year though. Didn't he miss quite a few meetings (albeit after being banned for a few) last year? Hopefully just down to the reported issues Swindon had last year though and at least guest options should be good if he misses meetings, for a top level rider he has a pretty reliable club record so maybe unfair to have some doubts. Will be interesting to see who our final top 5 rider will be. A few years ago I thought Gustaffsson would be useful for the Bees but he didn't appear to have a good season at all in 2013 and I'm not sure he would be the way to go if we are serious about challenging again. Michelsen would be a massive boost for our top 5 if we could sign him but highly doubt we will. After that then the options look limited, maybe Wolbert. I can't imagine Steady would fit and then there's Allen, Auty, Robbo or Summers who would probably all struggle to make an impact in the top 5. Coventry_Bee
Signings looking good but we have been there and done that enough... Bomber can't afford another season like he has the last 2 or 3. His average has to improve. Hans I like, I think he will score well and be consistent. Fisher !! I only hope he calms down as when I see him ride I think he is going to put himself in the fence or a team mate or opposition rider in the fence! Needs to be less dirty if being honest. This means though we have to say farewell to Scott Nicholls. Not the way he or we wanted it to go but his effort was always there. He will as our most successful captain be remembered fondly by all Bees fans and I hope he gets a spot with wolves or lakeside and has a really good 2014 season. Thank you for all the memories Scotty ! Edited November 21, 2013 by Coventry_Bee
Gemini
Is Havelock definitely manager for next season then? According to Mick on the 'Tapes Up' programme he is. Hopefully he might change his mind.

SCB
I Wonder where Scott is going to take his Wooden Spoon Poole hopefully! He does seem to have the anti-midas touch these days. Every team he rides for turns to rubbish.

markyb
Almost orgasmic !!! Only kidding before I get the sarcastic comments. Harris and Hansen were a give me. So pleased we have mr entertainment back I.e ryan but so impressed with the signing of Hans. Hopefully Joe Jacobs (saw plenty of him in 2013 with the Storm) will be one of our reserves and possibly James Sarjeant too So what points does that leave us with. Who would fit the bill ? Mick/Neil/Blayne/Laurence - you doing good guys ! Almost orgasmic !!! Only kidding before I get the sarcastic comments. Harris and Hansen were a give me. markyb
Sorry for the verbal diarrhea Just read that Mr Holder ain't coming back to uk racing in 2014, along with mr lindgren and no doubt many other money grabbers. Good for the guys whom have committed to uk racing in 2014 and most importantly for me, Coventry. Entertainment (with a capital "E") is a major factor in my eyes and in 2013 having watched the Storm in most of their home meetings brought back the feel good factor from my early supporting days of from 1976 onwards (crikey, feeling old now as I remember like it like yesterday where me and my mates used to stand on the back straight of Coventry standing so close to the wife of John Harrhy - she was glamorous back then, but she ain't changed as I saw them both at Ricoh Tesco Coventry a couple of weeks ago.) Plenty of life left in the "old dog" - that's UK speedway (not me !) we just ain't gotta get carried away with paying out for the "stars" who can and will turn on or off their performances too easily.

Nothing to do with money grabbing, we are just not an attractive league anymore. As for the signing of Hans, certainly seems like the Bees are making decent strides so far with the confirmed signings.
T.N.T.
From Zero to Hero for the Bees with so far four decent signings and 5+ for the last place. Auty ?, Robson ? Szczepaniak ? Roynon ? or are they going to pull in a new face on a 5.00 Have to admit that I would have thought the last two places would have gone to Sundstrom/Barker ... Nicholls/Kennett ...... or Schlein/Zengota in whatever combination that fits but in Andersen they have a great team man and Bomber will add at least a point to his average so the woodn spoon will be sent elsewhere in 2014.
