mudflaps
Perhaps Horton simply couldn't afford the rumoured £500 per point Hancock got from Poole? Hancock didn't ride like he was on £500 per point!
Grand Central
I thought it was pretty well documented that all EL clubs received around £90k/£100k from Sky as a 'flat fee'. Plus each home club received an additional fee for a televised meeting, between £5k and £10k, which was originally agreed to help offset any fall-off in attendance. I would like to see the document that did show such figures. As they just do not add up. Ten clubs getting a flat fee of anywhere near £100k (plus the PL share). That's a £1M already. So the extra money for 30 meetings at an up to £10k per match compensation ... £250 to £300k? AND 'Mr20%' Terry Russell's £200k. Where does that fit in? Woz01
The only riders bought in from other sides that I would have liked was Michelsen and Kylmakorpi the others didnt impress much. Mikkel Bech was another one but he wanted a PL spot, maybe next year.

BluPanther
Would Bees fans like Auty back? Would love to see him at Boro, and would imagine Bees fans would welcome him with open arms..
Woz01
Would love to see him at Boro, and would imagine Bees fans would welcome him with open arms..Id guess a number of teams would be after him. Didnt get a chance at Brandon first time round, I think he deserves another chance IF he wants it.

Mikkel Bech was another one but he wanted a PL spot, maybe next year.Anton Rosen was one we should have signed, possibly also Lebedev. Also would like us to sign Milik now. I'm happy with who Horton has signed so far for 2014* including the rumoured third signing given the likely standard of the league, but my biggest beef with him is the complete lack of a signing for the future. Bech Jensen ought to be on our radar with supposedly 40 matches this season (he wanted the extra matches the PL brought). I don't believe money to be that big an issue - Horton has paid riders on time and so I hear the away team's standard portion also. But who is there in the current management team to identify and tap up young emerging talent. Another reason I would have liked a different team manager. Blayne and Chris (Anderson) are apparently to be involved again but presume that's for race nights not team building. *Actually think Horton has done the right thing signing Hansen and possibly a similar guy now as in a 12 team league with a reduced points limit 5 - 6 point guys could be like gold dust. As for Auty gating is too big a handicap so no, would rather have Wells (if not already on Wolves books) or Allen of riders on similar average. Hard to speculate on the other heat leaders until we know points limit / pay scales. Larsen if recovered from injury, Kennett and Barker could all fill heat leader spots in a watered down league. Not sure whether he'd come in on a 3 but if so how about Manzares at No.7? Edited November 14, 2013 by tiberon

Pirates Of Poole
£500 a point, where did that rubbish come from? You telling me Hancock got paid £34,500 for a few meetings at the end of the season! He would be lucky if he was on half that amount. BADGER69
I do not know how much he was paid but it was worth every penny as it helped Poole win the the final
naffer
Rumoured 3rd signing? Danny king is mentioned in the SS as being with mick Horton last weekend as a guest at a ice hockey game, could be that.

Bees_Man
Must try and get Morris. Horton could finally appease the fans after rosco !
TheSmiler
32 limit for top 5. So we have around 19 points left for 3 riders... Two NL reserves - Jacobs and Sarjeant/Branford to ride for the Bees AND Storm? Wouldn't be a horrific move, with all that track time. G the Bee
My prediction. Not commenting on how good it will be, just that this is who I think we'll end up with. Larsen - 7.26 Sundstrom - 7.22 Harris - 6.82 Hansen - 5.83 Szczepaniak - 4.86 Total 31.99 Branford and Jacobs at reserve.
