Phil The Ace
Pretty sure Fricke is an Aussie the last time i checked! Yes obviously not him but for me he's a cert for a reserve berth. For The rest I'm trying to think of an all English team. A bit like Birmingham last year
stevebrum
You guys must be new to speedway. When has a weakening of the league ever been reflected in a reduction in admission? It is what our promoters have been saying. You arent very up to date are ya! I don't know where people get the idea that if they weaken the elite league next year that it will be a lot cheaper. It is as i stated above, the promoters themselves are already on record saying an EL without the top boys will be reflected in the admission price. stevebrum
What a good do going to be cheaper than the Premier league is it I have no idea, you will have to ask the promoters as they are the ones who suggest it will be cheaper. Hackett
Peterborough £17 Eastbourne £17 Poole £17 Rye House £16 Berwick £13 Glasgow £16 Leicester £16 Just picked out a couple of clubs at random , in order to check prices ... Seems as though the coatings are nigh on the same whatever the league.
MattK
Many PL clubs include a free racecard with attendance, however a programme in the EL is an extra £2.50-3.
clambo71
For the EL it is the worst thing possible. For the future it may be its saving grace. However a weaker EL must be reflected in a much lower price at the turnstiles. Otherwise the EL terraces will be empty. I disagree. By removing the high price riders to reduce costs is self defeating if you then reduce admission prices. I go to watch 4 guys race on bikes for 4 laps . Not to fussed who is riding as I enjoy heat 2 just as much as heat 13.
B.V 72
Fair point all you need really is a race card.If all Elite teams adopted this policy over the suggested 20 meetings it would be a saving of 60 quid.At Belle vue the cost of a programme is in with the price of a season ticket if you do away with a programme and knock 60 pounds off the total cost you might get a few more fans intrested in buying one. orion
.I will still be happy to pay the same amount as last year in hope that the promoters can make it pay Shame most fans won't ....the bottom line is that the standard will drop just like every other year and the price will stay the same or go up . the biggest laugh is that people think that you are cutting costs but you lose so many fans who then never come back you in fact end up losing more money . I say it every year each Agm comes up with plans that will bring in less fans and intill that mind set go's then speedway will just carry on with this slow and painful death
