Crazy robin
If there are fewer GP riders in the 2014 season it is not the points limit, it is the 36 match programme and the money on offer to complete it. 28 matches were too many for most GP stars, so 36 may tip others over the edge, as it has Lindgren and more importantly Holder. The squad system must be around the corner a squad system should have happened years ago & I've never understood why they are so reluctant to do it. Phil The Ace
DON'T know whether any money changed hands but they certainly didn't part on the best of terms. Quite a few bridges would need to be mended for Garrity and BV to be re-united but if they can each put their differences to one side it might be worth it. Bridges have been built 👍
Crazy robin
Money perhaps? How as if Poole for example had Darcy & Chris sharing a slot & being paid half a contract each how can that be more money & the same could happen with all the other riders as well. it's not that difficult & shouldn't be more expensive. Phil The Ace
Craig cook signs. Never In Doubt Returning for his fourth season in Manchester, Belle Vue are thrilled to reveal Craig Cook as the latest addition to their new-look side. He retains his role as captain of the Rentruck Aces, following his fellow Great Brits Richie Worrall and Scott Nicholls into the team, whilst also doubling-up with Premier League club Edinburgh as their No.1 for a fourth year in a row. The 26-year old from Whitehaven had one of the most successful years of his career last season, and Belle Vue fans witnessed some remarkable performances which, combined with his professional attitude, led to him making his Team GB debut at Kings Lynn for the 2013 Speedway World Cup. But it was his display at No.1 for the Monarchs that left critics stunned. He scored an unparalleled total of roughly 615 match points for the Premier League powerhouse, and in 47 meetings he made a record-breaking 45 Heat Fifteen appearances. He also laid claim to a handful of track records, first at Glasgows Ashfield Stadium and then at Leicester 55 days later; Lions fans were left beyond speechless however when the GB International visited on August 31st. He smashed the previous track record at the Jordan Road Surfacing Stadium in Heat 1, but not content to rest on his laurels he proceeded to break his own record twice more; first in Heat 5, then Heat 15! Cook was quick to dismiss rumours of a move elsewhere in the Elite League however, and fiercely repeated his loyalty to the club who has nurtured his top-flight career for nearly half a decade. He said: Im really pleased to be back with the Aces next season. The management have been great to me ever since I first rode for Belle Vue and they always appreciate the effort I put in for the team, and in return Im determined to show my loyalty to them as I have done for years. The team is coming together really nicely this year. Including me we have at least five British boys in the side, which is very important to us and to British Speedway. Ive never really ridden with Richie Worrall before but hes a great guy and as team mates Im sure well get on very well. Scott is someone Ive really looked up to throughout my short Speedway career and learning from someone as knowledgeable as him is something Im really looking forward to. Hes a great ambassador for the sport and has been for a very long time. Weve still got another four places to fill, but if the rest of our signings pan out as the management propose, I dont think well be underestimated like in previous years. I feel well definitely be a force to be reckoned with.
Bagpuss
I fully appreciate Cook's loyalty to his British clubs (a rare quality in sport nowadays) but having tried and apparently failed to get a team spot abroad I'm a little disappointed as a Team GB supporter that he is racing his speedway again next year on two small tracks when he needs to improve on the big ones by his own admission. Hopefully a Polish or Swedish spot will open up for him during the season and if not he will get over to the continent as often as possible on Sundays for open meetings. Phil The Ace
Cant believe some really thought it was in doubt. I know. He's clearly very loyal and intends to stay at belle Vue till he takes the number 1 jacket. Then he may go onto pastures new

ABS
Three signings - three Brits and three out and out racers. Really looking forward to next season. Hope to see Matej back at No.

SUPERACE
If we sign Zagar and have a bit of luck we will finish top.If we sign Zorro and have our usual luck we will finish bottom. Not that finishing top or bottom matters anymore but the best team finishes top and the worst bottom, it's how I judge a team regardless of what the result of the pokc is.Going off past experience I'm expecting another zorroesque signing but you never know. This time have faith and we will soon be rewarded.
TonyE
Does Richie get a discount on his average because, if not, Zagar does not fit. Zagar 8.64 Cook 7.40 Nicholls 7.19 Worrall 5.78 Other 3.00 Total 32.

Phil The Ace
Worrall gets his deduction. Don't you worry about that. Zagar will be signed and probably announced next Wednesday or summert In time for the speedway star
Daniel Smith
It does look as though Belle Vue could track up to 6 Brits for next season and that is incredible. When was the last time that happened???? Unfortunately the set up of the side looks poor to me even with the inclusion of Zagar. Play-offs it won't be. Bottom half of the table for me, apologies BV fans
gaptooth
I like the look of this team. Can't see why they won't make the play offs .
