If you don't produce a decent programme then you are missing out on substantial advertising income!!!!

I have numerous glossy advertising pamplets land on my mat each week - those delvering them dont knock on my door and expect 3 quid for them though! Edited by dontforgetthefueltapsbruv

No, but plenty of magazines are 40% ads and people willingly psy more than three quid for them.

If the programme doesnt represent value (and given that you can buya speedwsy star for less it doesnt seem to) then people should just not buy it. Plenty of sites people can go to to print off racecards.

As for programmes included as part of season tickets - realistically if they were excluded, the biggest drop on offer is maybe going to be a tenner (I.e. cost of programme production, not the sales price).

About going top heavy as I can see that being the way to go with most reserves being about level

Zagar 8.64

Hans Andersen 8.34

Cook 7.40

Heeps 4.04

Fricke 3.48 = 31.90

Or

Zagar 8.64

Bjerre 8.45

Cook 7.40

Rosen 4.00

Fricke 3.48 = 31.97

or we can add kozza smith for either Rosen or heeps on a 3.76

That's if my averages are right of course

Interesting point you make. Building a team with 3 almost guaranteed heat winners (give or take) might well be the way to go if the heat formula is changing.

Given the fact that most promoters are looking to cut costs, and that the likes of Bjerre or Andersen probably expect higher rates of pay than the points difference they represent, I suspect that Cook will be #1 or #2 for Belle Vue in 2014.

Never heard a moan about costs from belle Vue last year and we afforded Zagar so must have some money for team matters. If riders like hans and bjerre are desperate for rides then there wage demands will lower is imagine so it maybe worth a gamble to leave team building till late on

As I said top heavy is way to go. Most reserves will be all of same level so you can't really build a team with strong reserves. And if you have a solid top 3 and 2 average riders isn't 4&5 then I'd still be confident that they will beat opposing reserves

Given up on Richie Worrall riding for us? Or are you thinking that he might somehow fit into the new #6 and #7 positions?

So unsure about worrall. Half time I think yes he will ride for us, and I do want him..... but Then I can't help but think he loved his time at kings Lynn and may want another year developing on a big track Edited by Phil The Ace

Bloody hope not be I'll be up roar up here if he went Leicester.

Strong rumours Craig Cook is Leicester bound in 2014.

Something which David Hemsley last night said that talks were in progress with Cookie

Where did he say this

Someone suggested cookie & DH said talks are on going with Edinbugh & Craig regarding a 2014 deal.

I'm not surprised Leicester are going for him he is a track specialist & i know it was at PL level but he is untouchable round BP circuit

I suppose he will speak with other clubs yes but would like to think he will ride for us. This is a problem because we haven't signed him as an assett. May the best club win

The one thing with Cookie (certainly up until now) is he's remained loyal to those that have stood by him. He could've walked away from Edinburgh when he was going through a rough patch and because we stuck with him, he remained loyal to us.

Not to say that may change in the future and as current track record holder (3 times in 1 night!) at Leicester then if he were to leave BV then Leicester would be the obvious choice. However, I think he'll be at Edinburgh and BV in 2014...

I think another attraction that Leicester has got is Cookie is looking at getting meetings in Poland in 2014 so Leicester would suit on Sat nights then head down to Stansted with other riders. In fact I did hear that at end of the season that Leicester were looking at hiring a mini bus to take riders down to Stansted after home meetings bit like they do in Poland and Sweden
