Statman
Only problem is Rye not agreed to come to Somerset yet for a blank Friday next week, at least it's not listed on either teams web sites. With Rebels left with 3 home matches in Play Offs, a rain off will mean a double header somewhere. Yes they have & yes it is! whowasthatberntpersson
I haven't seen any fixture updates but wouldn't think Somerset would run without Nick and Alex? Unless they have no other options.

cyclone
Congratulations to Rebels on reaching KO Cup Final. After the mauling the Monarchs got on Wednesday, only the super optimist would have believed we were likely to claw back a 26 point deficit. Somerset did enough to ensure a comfortable passage with Nick Morris once again being one of the best visitors to Armadale this season. For the Monarchs Jozsef Tabaka was outstanding and until getting caught up in traffic in ht 15, Cookie was his usual self. However if Monarchs are to make an impression in the Play_Offs , Sneddon, Pijper, and most notably Vissing, will have to up their game both home and away. Good visiting support again, who gave enthusiastic support to their team.
DavyH
My Chatzone ramblings... It was of course Nick Morris who won ht 15 with Josh in 3rd. My mistake, forgot to correct it. These dark nights with washed out helmet colours don't go down well with a blind bat like me First of all well done to Somerset. This was a low key meeting in view of Wednesday's score. Cookie looked unbeatable in his first three races before Morris did well to hold him off in ht 13. Derek did better after a poor heat 1, Theo had a good win over a disinterested Doyle, but otherwise was poor. Jozsef was back to his best with some good gating and determined riding - others please copy!. Claus was missing, very poor, James Serjeant did as expected while Max had a good night apart from missing the gate in an easier looking ht 12. This takes nothing away from a very good Rebels team who look odds-on to clean up this year, even with Doyle and Grajczoneck only winning one each, they never really looked troubled, grabbing a couple of 5-1's when we looked to be getting a decent lead. Morris was impressive again and Davies was much better with Josh chipping in with a decent score too.I don't think we lose the last five heats by 6 points very often! We need a few of the team to improve tomorrow to try and get a point at least at Worky.

oldtimer
Hope it's not true that riders will be missing due to other commitments, getting fed up with this happening. If Nick and Alex missing OT will be missing also.
whowasthatberntpersson
Must admit i'm surprised that they are going to go into a cup final minus two influential team members, bit risky I think but maybe there is no choice / spare dates.

If Nick and Alex missing OT will be missing also. You can't stand in the way of up and coming riders representing their country. It is a shame they aren't going to be there but i am sure it will attract a big crowd, even bigger if you attend OT!I think the dates issue at this stage of the season was a deciding factor. Will Tyson Nelson be missing for Rye House also ? Quite possibly, hadn't thought of that. Must admit i'm surprised that they are going to go into a cup final minus two influential team members, bit risky I think but maybe there is no choice / spare dates. Think you hit the nail on the head there! I would expect the Rebels to be too strong at home for the Rockts even without Nick and Alex. With R/R for Nick Doyley can take an extra ride also. Will we be at full strength for the return ?
gusworld
With two top Rebels riders missing in the first leg the Rockets will have a chance now to get a good result at the OTA. Remember we only just beat Ippo by two points with riders missing and that was a surprise. Doesn't make sense should have put this on at the end of October or have a double header as we need all riders firing at this stage of the season.
