Panthers 2014

Try reading what it actually says and not what you think it says! It's not a pop at anyone and if you don't want to read my posts - put me on ignore! Feel sorry for what? Having an opinion? Isn't that what this forum is about. I do hope you move soon then I wouldn't have to put up with your pompous posts and you wouldn't feel the need to comment on mine!

You're so funny!

I doubt many can understand the obsession or need to move the Panthers 2014 thread, perhaps if you or those with a like mind were to articulate where it should go, a better fit, then the mods could action and we'd all understand. Until you do so we can only guess at the motive.

Panthers latest: Outgoing owners ‘getting close’ to a sale

A front-runner has emerged in the race to save Peterborough Panthers speedway club.

Outgoing co-owner Julie Mahoney revealed the latest development to www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk this morning (December 4).

The city club is currently closed after Mahoney and fellow chief Rick Frost pulled out of the Elite League ahead of the sport’s annual meeting last month.

Five parties have since declared an interest in reviving Panthers at Premier League level with one of those now seemingly in the driving seat to thrash out a purchase.

Mahoney said: “We are at a point where we are getting close to finalising a deal.

“It is looking promising, but that is really as much as I can say at the moment as nothing is signed and sealed.

“We have had what I would call advanced discussions with more than one party.

“A couple of the parties that were initially interested have now dropped out of the running.”

Mahoney again declined to reveal the identity of the club’s potential suitors due to confidentiality agreements being in place.

It is understood that the British Speedway Promoters’ Association will allow until January for a deal to be struck so that the club can race on in 2014, but Mahoney again stressed that she hopes any sale can be completed quickly.

She added: “We are in a situation where speed is of the essence as any new owner would want as long as possible to put a team together.”

Panthers are not currently an EL team and according to BSPA statements on the subject, which I admit cannot always be taken at face value, their only chance of continuing in 2014 is as a PL team. It seems to me, with no interest whatsoever in which EL team's dad is bigger than any other's, that this thread should be in the PL section.

I wish I wasn't as interested in something.

Or for those that are upset this thread is in the EL section, maybe they just avoid visiting the thread

Hope it doesn't get moved because since Leicester joined the E.L. I've been able to miss the Premier League section out altogether. So much to do - so little time. :D

Nothing wrong with the thread, just its location.

PL not right either, should be in the for sale bit and if that goes pear shaped then the history section. Also by rights a new category should be created called the comedy section and that's where the EL thread should go?
