1 valve
Its a sad day for the Panthers fans am realy gutted for em..... Totally agree - such a shame to lose a great race track as well. As a Leicster fan I am delighted that we will see top flight racing but would like to have visited boro too - Fingers crossed somebody will step in and bring back worthwhile speedway promotion to Pererborough.

SteveLyric2
Sorry for all most Panthers fans! But seriously with all the EL standard assets that the Panthers own, who is going to pay the true price for the promoting rights to run in the PL?? Irk Deflector
A sad day for Speedway but who can blame Frost? He came in to the sport and looked to bring a professional approach which was thwarted time and time again by the imbreds! Let's hope he gives us some clarity around the 'workings' of the BSPA and what led him to walk away. Not sure Speedway can afford to loose people like Frost.
Jacques
Same as everyone else, absolutely gutted for the Panthers fans. I've had some brilliant visits to the showground and made some great friends from there and the track is awesome. You can't blame them for walking away, but what a way to find out
Woz01
Such terrible news, I hope they will be back soon.
Warren2
The harsh reality is these days with the financial climate even people with plenty of £ will only put money into a sure thing and Speedway is not unfortunately. I see the same faces when I get to meetings which shows there are diehards out there just not enough. Our crowd levels are more towards Premier League anyway, not saying I would have asked for a drop but can anyone hand on heart say Frost/Mahoney should have taken the plunge with the risk they would lose more than £100,000. So as for the Panthers assets are they free agents? Or they still require a loan fee?
foreverblue
Errrrr , it.s not top flight. It is the top flight in this country.

orion
Feel sorry for Boro but with no regular race night and the lack of fans only someone like a Rick Frost could bankroll the club .
Chris
Can't blame Frost. Has put his money where his mouth is, but Peterborough haven't got enough support to be an EL club or the opportunity for a regular race night to help in that respect. Would think Frost is fed up with continually weakening the product with silly notions like NL riders in the EL plus he's been crapped on a few times by the BSPA, so no surprise he's pulled out.

BluPanther
At least its confirmed the club is completely debt free, so lets hope we find a new owner who can keep the Panthers running in the Premier league..

Feel sorry for all the Loyal P'Boro fans, but basically the crowds were not there, and Frost can't keep digging holes and finding money. Its going to catch up sometime..

dave69
It is the top flight in this country. and that shows just how poor it's become.
lionstigersnotbearsohmy
As someone who enjoyed his speedway fix at The Showground whilst Leicester was shut, I sincerely hope a new owner can be found for the Panthers. A great race track, which Leicester sadly isn't (yet but here's hoping!), speedway can ill afford to lose this venue. Best wishes to all Panthers fans for some good news soon.
castrolargh
Gutted for all you panthers fans and I will really miss the trips down the A47 for the local derby.Hope you run this season whatever league that may be as once gone, I fear the local residents will object if /when you return. All the best and fingers crossed
