Irk Deflector
Interesting article on the speedwaygb site http://www.speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.23194 "If we are running..." - that's the biggest hint I've heard that Panthers might not be. Would be a shame if they weren't running. His way of telling the Elitle League promoters to sort things out otherwise he will give them the bird! He was right to insist on an independent body to run the sport a couple of years ago - shame it didn't happen. We desperately need some one to run Speedway for the good of the sport and not self interest of a few promoters.
Crump99
I can only imagine the resulting 'love in' that would occur on the forum if that happened.. I'd love it.

Hard to choose any team until points limits are set, but at least we have KKS to entertain us till then..

Crump99
I wasnt aware the thread was time restricted. You'll not be aware then that FP is as well. Restricted to weekdays out inbetween lighting up times so he's not a happy bunny this week.

mudflaps
"Frost added: “There are losses at Peterborough every year but myself and Julie are very fortunate in that our companies make a lot of money" £100k shouldnt as Rick says be construed big bucks to successful companies that can write the loss/nvestment off against profits and also it's all good advertising for their companie(s) would love to know how much Sky paid each E/L team last season.... I have heard approx £120k per team which at approx £1m in total is nothing to screen over 70+ hours of speedway per season... (30k per meeting!) If panthers crowds have averaged 700 theres way to many freeloaders getting in,
LagutaRacingFan
Frost added: “There are losses at Peterborough every year but myself and Julie are very fortunate in that our companies make a lot of money. “Without wishing to sound blasé, it is not big bucks to us. Financing the club has been part of our advertising and branding budget This is good news. Also, Rick said Sullivan is the best team manager in the league... I disagree! I would find it hard to find a better team manager in all of the leagues across the world. It's obvious to me, He has the highest points per match ratio in the league in terms of team managers.
