spanner47
Details on the Witches website re coach travel for this months final. Seats are £43 each. How does that compare with Diamonds offering? I doubt many would commit until after the 1st leg, then there's the weather to consider, and now with Worky away on the Saturday? If I'm travelling that far, i might as well do both and sample the hospitality of Newcastle's No1 turnstile operator. Forecast not too bad for tomorrow, a bit of light stuff then should be dry later, hoping for 6-8 point lead
Roland
Weather does look a bit "iffy" in the afternoon, lets hope it turns into a better evening. Lets get stuck right into this and get at a minimum of 20 up, got to think Robbo will be serious miss for them?
dantodan
The Witches and the Diamonds clash in this final over two legs. The second leg is programmed for Sunday 29th of September. So two strong PL teams go toe to toe. A hard one to forecast as it could go either way, the teams are likely to be Ipswich 1. Ben Barker 2. Cameron Heeps 3. Rohan Tungate 4. Leigh Lanham 5. Morten Risager 6. Adam Ellis 7. Ritchie Hawkins Newcastle 1. Richie Worrall 2. R/R for Stuart Robson 3. Andrew Tully 4. Ludvig Lindgren 5. Anton Rosen 6. Chris Schramm 7. Lewis Kerr Ben Barker is in my opinion the Best rider on show with Richie Worrall snapping at Bens heels. The other Ipswich riders are pretty solid as are Newcastles riders, we are missing our captain Stuart Robson and we have to go into these two matches using R/R for Robbo. The Diamonds have Anton Rosen new to the side whom will be seeing the Ipswich track for the first time, so a question mark against Anton down in Suffolk. Newcastle need good scores from our main 4 in the team and we hope our high scoring reserve the "kerminator" Lewis Kerr can score like he has been doing at home. Can someone from Ipswich tell us how their team have been going leading up to the final

Baldyman
Not so good lately, I think the diamonds will win this having the second leg, but only by about 6, but that's all you need.
Baldyman
A lot could depend on how their new swede goes at our track. I just have the feeling we won't win this over 2 legs even though we seem to do well there in the past. The past is the past though. Sorry, not feeling very confident. dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
I agree with the comments about Rosen being the key. If he takes to Foxhall as he has most tracks so far it will be tough for the Witches to build a lead. For the Witches I think Morten is the barometer both home and away. I cant see a win of more than 12 at very best for the Witches and hope for 8 but would take any lead! As long as the weather doesnt spoil it I think this could be one to remember for a long time. Super Blue
Think I might have to go with the Bald wise one on this ! Im not feeling overly optimistic over 2 legs and although I believe Morten at 5 will probably be ok at home im certainly less comfortable with him there for the away leg . I originally thought Rohan would be a better no5 but he looks tired and jaded to me now so im not sure what the best line up would be any more . Would be nice to get something in the way of silverware this year and this is our arguably our best chance to get some . We will just have to see how things pan out , starting with the weather . Chewbacca
If I remember correctly the same happened to Tungate last season. His first visit to Brough was superb, I think he got 12, but when he came back at the end of the season he looked a shadow of that rider. A Witches win by 8 would set it up nicely as I reckon that's about the most Newcastle would win the home leg by.

ruckerroo
I'm at Yarmouth up the coast and its windy with odd bits of drizzle. It looks like any rainfall should have gone by 4 ish. Any locals with a report later on would be helpful
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Thanks for joining us on this thread Dan. Sorry you dont like how its set up! Most Witches fans are a bit jittery about the end of season chances. All a bit worried that a couple may fade away when it matters. I think so long as they listen to the experience available to them (Chris/Leigh) they can pace themselves and show what they are made of. Weather overcast and damp. Showers have been very light and are supposed to clear by 4 leaving a dry night. Lets hope the forecasters are right.

crazysue
Is there as much water coming from the sky in Ipswich as there is in Trimley? Peeing it down here and has been for the last hour or so.
2ndbendbeerhut
Just got in from school run, not that bad tbh, light drizzle, but constant. should ease up and dissapear by 5ish (well thats what metoffice says). No more rain after that, so would have thought that the track will be left and sorted once rain goes. Up the Witches!
