Somerset V Edinburgh (koc-1st Leg Replay) 18/9/13 @7.30pm

Recommended Posts

So here we go again after two fantastic legs in the first running of the semi final!

Should be another cracker with the rebels hoping to take a bigger lead to the dale this time with the monarchs looking to keep it closer than the last time. Hard one to call with the rebels having Wright at reserve at the oak tree arena this time and Edinburgh having Max back at reserve instead of Derek

Teams for Wednesday:

Somerset

  1. Jason Doyle
  2. Kyle Newman
  3. Nick Morris
  4. Alex Davies
  5. Josh Grajczonek
  6. Charles Wright
  7. Oliver Greenwood (G)

Edinburgh

  1. Craig Cook
  2. Derek Sneddon
  3. Theo Pijper
  4. Joe Tabaka
  5. Claus Vissing
  6. James Sarjeant (G)
  7. Max Fricke

'mon the Rebels

Looking forward to this one and the return on Friday. Should be 2 cracking meetings and very close run I think. Either way may the best team win (should have been the final IMO, but that's the draw).

I sure the Rebels will do their best to put a smile on your face Paulco, are you going to the Edinburgh leg?

Depends on this leg , if the Rebels can get at least a 10 point lead , then it's worth going to the 2nd leg . Are you the Nick we met at Poole three or four weeks ago ?

With the Rebels still defeating the second best team (by league position) by 2pts without their top 2 average riders, it could be a difficult evening for Edinburgh... Not sure we can contain the Rebels at the OTA a third time this season...

No worries either way, I'll be there supporting the men from the North:)

Yes that's me, hopefully a 10-15 pt lead and I'll see you there (we all congregate with Martin and the Rebel flag).

Is Martin the geezer who leaps the fence everytime the fence is demolished? Rolls his sleeves up, gets stuck in, then re-joins his mates on the second bend? Remarkable character. :t:

Well done Somerset on an impressive display tonight which makes the second leg a formality for them.

The astute deadline signing of Charles Wright has further strengthened an already power packed formation.

They are now the best team in the league without doubt and barring injuries, will complete a league and cup double.

Totally awesome display by an in form team. A very different scoreline from the sky covered meeting a few months back, and the two previous cup ties seem a distant past. Can't help counting my chickens here. Rebels v Rockets final it is then.
