Swindon V Poole El Semi Final Play Off 1st Leg 23/9/13

Recommended Posts

Whereas you know it wasnt.

Strange because when you said the following I presumed you knew the truth but obviously now you're backtracking you don't.

Oh you mean a quiet beer before getting attacked by a complete stranger.

......Dave Jones......But did you not post on a Cov/Poole topic a short while ago that you couldn't understand why Ford didn't visit Brandon these days.?

Stating that the old regime had gone and all was forgiven.

Doesn't sound like something I would say as I dislike Matt Ford and Poole. Would you care to post where I said it?

Don't know why I'm bothering but I've had a quick look and the only post I can find regarding Coventry/Poole is this one so I'll let you back up what you've said. I'm quite happy to be proved wrong.

I presume this is a joke? I think you'll find that seeing Greg Hancock at Coventry is no big deal. He long ago fell out with the Bees - I think it was Colin Pratt involved at the time - and wouldn't ever ride for them again so we're not all salivating at the prospect of seeing him ride at Brandon. On the other hand perhaps Mick has realised the extent of a lot of the fans dislike for Poole and that he may have made a mistake choosing them for a challenge match. Just my opinion as someone who bears grudges.

A bit disrespectful for people to say the winner of this semi will win the whole thing, Brum won the league and are at full strength after all.

Well said, people say we looked dodgy Monday and that's fair enough, but forget we beat a flying NKI a few times and Schlein who is a Perry Barr specialist, Andersen and Kildemand have come unstuck against us this season too, on that basis why would a Hancock be untouchable ?.

And that's even assuming Brum come through the semi, otherwise you'll have the soon to be world champion to deal with.

If they are the same price in the betting how can they be overwhelming favorites ?

Thats there opinion mate, this is ours.

It's a fact that Swindon have limped over the line to qualify for the Play Offs as a result of the 5 straight wins at the very start of the season.

Conversely the Pirates have stormed into the Play Off's after having changed their team many times and obviously have the momentum now

If this were not the case then the little lapdog would not be quite so 'HAPPY'

Every knows that any true supporter of speedway will be behind the Robins.. :t:

Will Poole choke yet again :t:

..

You limped into the play off's, er no i don't think so. We were the ones to limp into the play off's, so surely we must be underdogs.

2/1 for both teams to win it is a bit skinny isn't it?.Especially when you consider they have to get through 4 tough meetings.

2's is the bookies favorite price. Your right, far to skinny. But you pays your money you takes your chance, if you like that sort of price..

I'd prefer to go to the away leg of the grand final at Blunsdon than an empty Dorset greyhound track ;)

That has to be the stupidest post of the thread so far..................if you have ever been to Poole you will know it is always packed out...................

Don't understand that post one little bit. Still, each to their own.

I don't get all this guff about swindon being clear favourites for the whole thing, a bit disrespectful to a Birmingham side who have topped the league, although being top has proved to be a burden 3 of last 4 seasons.

Not stupid at all, he is suggesting Poole wont be in the grand final, hence it will be empty...

Go careful Rosco, you know what happens when you beat Poole over 2 legs & the 2nd leg is at Poole! No champers, no fireworks & cold showers, bad losers those pesky Pirates. You would have thought that they were getting used to it now though, they are past their sell by date, despite all of Fat Maude's efforts.

Is that what happened last year?

Bit of a worry the scores THJ and Hancock got in the swedish final, if THJ especially repeats those scores we are stuffed.
