Bagpuss
Sets it up nicely for next week, Swindon should have enough but if Poole can get their poor tail wagging a bit they have a chance.
Daniel Smith
Can't call it. In the balance right now. Â Good speedway tonight though, that was by far the clear winner
Jacques
Does Middlo get his gob tuned by Peter Johns ? Â Two great meetings on two well prepared tracks.. Edited September 23, 2013 by Jacques
Bombers number 1 fan.
Enjoyable meeting. Cracking last heat! Wrap it up next week Swindon!
BritPete
That was a great show by Swindon, and Poole are so lucky to go into the second leg only ten points behind. Should be another cracking match next week.
Green Eyed Monster
Just back... Â Wow, what a last heat, come on Swindon! Â Still think Darcy is one of the best I've ever seen but he let his team down there, a brilliant meeting. Â Can't wait to go down to Poole on Monday
pirateandi
No sign of ford was there and what was middlo whinging about "my boys don't have the power in there engines" sorry Neil but you'd thought you'd get that sorted before the meeting. Ah look at me ranting about my teams manager & promoter lol. But at least it sets it up to be quite an interesting meeting though , people are going on about last years meeting at poole and to me there are two vast differences firstly pooles team is nigh on completely different and the track was relatively sodden so IMO you can't really read much into that one. But great speedway and was ridden in a good spirit by both sets of riders which was pleasing to see !

I think the reserves and Tungate let Poole down hugely.

All 3 of the above are PL riders, more of a let down was the much vaunted (by you) Polish Extraliga heat-leader THJ who only managed to beat the Robins reserves (once each).
orion
10 Point lead should just about be enough after the vital heat 15 ...after the 5-1 he 13 with Ward off 1 and Magic off 3 why did Middlo swop there gates pos in heat 15... madness . scottyfan
Will be a formality for Swindon next Monday.......looks like it will be the last time we see Greg ride for the Pirates.
Gloves
Some good racing but predictable outcomes. Hope Morris is ok for PL play offs. Surely EL promoters will realise you can't win when you declare your team at the start of the year with 9 point heat leaders makes you too weak at the bottom end as Wolves and Poole are seeing. david2905
Can't see Poole pulling that back, even if they get level that's Swindon into T/R's, Poole are still too top heavy and if one of those big hitters is indifferent (ie Hancock) they are screwed. Â Â Would take something quite unforseen for it not to be a Brum V Swindon final from here.

Adder
Just back home after tonight's meeting. Â Well pleased with the result, honestly thought before the meeting that it could have gone either way but even if we had lost by a small margin we could actually win at Poole next week. Â Not getting carried away as i've Swindon teams pull defeat from the jaws of victory too many times but a nice safe performance next week should really see us through now. Â I did enjoy watching a few heats round the back straight tonight with some colleagues from work and saw Shovler hiding out of the way in the shadows. The look on his face tonight was a picture at times. No doubt he'll be putting aeay his 'bullish' card tonight and drag out the underdogs one again.
