BritPete
And so seven days of mandates, spin and propaganda begins Swindon obviously feel that they can win the tie in the first leg but I can't see them pulling out too much of a lead really, Poole have top end power for TR's and lively reserves. Fancy Swindon over two legs but only just, think it will be very tight and could be decided by an EF or a dodge ref call. Less hope the good guys get the fortune! A bit disrespectful for people to say the winner of this semi will win the whole thing, Brum won the league and are at full strength after all. I expect that Wolverhampton will win overall. foreverblue
This will be a cracker only marred by the usual sky hold ups showing the heat from the other meeting although they usually have a screen at the track and hope they do so again. Both teams have riders who could let them down or be match winners and for poole it could be Janowski. Obviously Rosco wanted Poole to make the play offs and as he used to ride for Poole we can now probably call him agent Rosco!
SteveLyric2
Rosco has given his reasons for choosing home first - after all he stated weeks ago that Swindon would be at home on 23rd, who ever the opponents were !! Plus having the money from a good attendance (and Sky) a week earlier than otherwise had to be an added consideration. Anyway the script was adhered to. Terry Russell was at Perry Barr so agreed the semi-final line-ups and home/away dates with Sky so that they could be captioned at the end of the broadcast! Job done! Actually I think all 4 semi-finalists have displayed the occasional weakness and are all just as likely to win/lose away as they are to win or lose at home!! Very close to call either semi imo. Best of luck to all contenders and hopefully 4 injury and rain-free Mondays! Edited September 17, 2013 by Skidder1
orion
Skidder did say that Rosco had already said that we were always going to ride at home on this date weeks ago so it's load old tosh about tactics etc ....As I said before no one has taken the home leg first given the choice and makes even less sense with the footie games on the Sat and the Tuesday ..I wonder what the real reason is ? stevebrum
Swindon handing Pirates the second leg is the equivalent of Poole finishing second in the league. They have handed Poole the inside gate in the GP Final ala Gollob with Hampel. Classic trolling.

robert72
Stunned that if football is such a concern for rosco that he has gone home first in between both games where taking the second leg would of been free of football. Has he scored an own goal ?

How many like the cry baby moaning twit of a bloke Rosco when they lose or things dont go his way? Has he scored an own goal ? Shows how popular speedway is in Swindon. We have a far better football team in our area and it does not affect the speedway

Wildcat Steve
Steve is right but as has been said no pressure on Poole nothing to loose and all to gain just full marks to the pirates for making the playoffs great achievement
