Wolves V Birmingham Play Off Semi 1st Leg - 23rd September

Recommended Posts

I have been dissappointed with how many times Swindon have gone into meetings with riders missing & a daughter at university has meant finances have had to be put into other areas more important than watching speedway live.

Don't care with all the bullrubbish on the Swindon vs. Poole thread but at least this one isn't like it.

I care about speedway & r/r in a play off isn't good for the sport & that is why I replied.

Oh & the human in me wants Tai to get well so he can have another tattoo with the words WORLD CHAMPION 2013 next to the tattoo of his dad's final note he had copied with ink.

As a dad I had a few tears when I saw that in the Sun on Saturday.

I care for the future of the sport & for me only a Wolves win will be the right & honest way for the sport this season as to many questions would be if the other 3 win it.

My days were fulfilled by winning last season at Poole & nothing can better that.

Apologies for putting this reply on this thread to the Wolves & Brummies fans.

Hope that's a good enough reply for you.

Not sure what the brummies have done wrong and I cant see wolves in the final, let alone win but pleased for you had your speedway life fulfilled last season and pleased for you that you have a child bright enough to attend university, you must be so proud.

If people accuse Swindon(rightly) of overspending their budget then havn't Birmingham done the same?.

As for my daughter then yes I'm proud & if that means using my old speedway money to help her then so be it.

I dont think overspending is a crime and hope the play offs help. It is probably fuelled by a desire to win and they cant be blamed for that.

I hope your daughter realises the sacrifices you have made and doesnt overspend at university!!

More Tippex required for your programmes tomorrow folks...(assuming that CVS has enough of them printed this time, remembering previous visits by the Brummies)

Josh Auty picked up a wrist injury in the PLRC and will be replaced by Andrew Tully

Makes life interesting doesn't it?

I think ith the team news and changes, it's swung a bit more in the Brummies favour, Woofy is a massive loss for Wolves and good as NKI is, will a guest really give as much ?, also Tully in for Auty might actually strengthen Brum as Josh isn't a big fan of Monmore at the best of times.

That said Wolves are still more than capable of turning us over if we underestimate them.

Quality wind up tho.

Nicki pederson would get extra people popping to monmore :) but I can see it being scott

Nicki hates Wolves, even if it was possible no way would i ask him.

They will go for the cheapest.

Yea, Iversen comes really cheap.

When it comes to NKI though, why/how would he be motivated to get out of bed to help out the Wolves? His season is almost over

Because he has the chance of earning a medal if Tai isnt fit. Enough reason without doubt.

Iversen only knows one way to ride and thats full throttle and win every race and many have seen what he gets like when he loses a race and honestly think at the moment Niels is riding better than anyone at the moment and confident he will be out to get 3 3 3 3 3.

Jacob missing is a slight disadvantage but I'm confident Nic will be out to prove a point and our big loss is Ty Proctor as we just havent been the same team without him this year. This is a match that could go either way and pretty sure they will be letting Freddie and Niels just go and get 3-3's in most heats to keep it tight as they can kill us at Perry Barr

I will settle for that TNT and hope it isn't 3,3,6,3,3.

Nki for tai makes wolves stronger , gonna be a cracking semi final imo

What an insulting post to post, the current leader of the GP's is not there by fluke, as good as NKI is Tai is better. I'm sure NKI will do wolves proud tonight, but I'm sure all Wolves fans would prefer an injury free Woffy.

Other that flying through the tapses in his first ride Puk dominate Saturdays GP and went unbeaten. He IS the form man right now.TBH, both should be capable of maximums vs Birmingham who lack an obvious number 1 and are more reliant on their ability to avoid lasts and make the most of heats 2, 8, 12 and 14.

Not in a million years, best Wolves can hope for is he gets near to what Woofy would have got, NKI while a good rider, doesn't have as much track knowledge and could be keeping an eye on not taking unnecessary risks with the final GP in mind.

What I mean is, even if NKI gets a big score, he'd only be matching what Tai would of been exected to do anyway, so no advantage as far as I can see, but could be a disadvantage if he doesn't fancy going at 100%.

We all know the key for the Brummies is heat advantages against Wolves lower order, obviously they'll try and beat the heatleaders where possible, but settle for 3-3's otherwise.

Iversen may not be an advantage but compared to a half fit Tai then he is at least as good an option and to say he is going to keep half an eye on the final gp just means you don't know the guy.

He is the most genuine all out racer and will give his all whoever he rides for, rode for Poole in the k o cup and he was just incredible, some of his passes defied belief and a end of season tournament that nobody really cares about i was just amazed at his commitment.

Domestically id take nki over woffinden every day.

Hes the form rider right now, his league form in all three leagues has been outstanding forthe last two years.

Doesnt weaken wolves at all

Take a look at his last few scores at home... Has been well beaten quite a few times and has dropped plenty of points
