dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Ive got a feeling we could be looking at 2 leagues not 3 next year. Each pitched between the current EL/PL and PL/NL. That makes picking a team difficult. Need to have a few variations to suit the possible set ups. 2ndbendbeerhut
Swap Nicholls at number 1 and Ulamek at number 6 and that would do........... Thing is though what will happen to riders like Tungate that have a PL and a EL ave? what comes into force? and that is where the like of Poole will gain and the "promoted" teams like Ipswich, Somerset etc will be shafted! I think you could simply have an average average. Convert the PL points to a El value(60%) add to EL points and divide by total rides from both leagues. Witches123
How about this: 1. Ben Barker, 2.Jason Garrity, 3.Rohan Tungate, 4.Cameron Heeps, 5.Olly Allen, 6.Adam Ellis, 7.Steve Boxall or Steve Worrall.
Baldyman
There is over a 2 points average difference between the two Steve and when you say Allen do you mean rr, as there would be a lot of that.
CardinalSin
Without even checking, that's way way over the current points limit.
szkocjasid
Using October averages and keeping a 42.5 limit: 1 Ben Barker 9.44 2 Leigh Lanham 7.16 3 Rohan Tungate 7.05 4 Cameron Heeps 6.74 5 Stefan Nielsen 4.70 6 Adam Ellis 4.25 7 Robert Lambert 3.00 Total 42.34 Edited October 21, 2013 by szkocjasid
Baldyman
Nielsen at number 2, he hasn't scored a single point on his last 3 visits, and that was from reserve.
mickthemuppet
Why would Ipswich want back Ben Barker after his non show in the 16 Lapper. How can you rely on riders who commit to a meeting then just do not turn up.. I think Ipswich will find another number one next season and it will not be Ben Barker will probably be back at Plymouth
Baldyman
Apart from Doyle or cook and maybe Worrall, which i doubt we would get any of, are there any other proper number 1's? Not that I can think of. I would have Barker back everyday. You are probably right about Plymouth though Edited October 21, 2013 by Baldyman

They just didn't bother to tell the fans that the main attraction was going to be absent..

mdmc82
I was thinking that too, but maybe it would be a points limit of 35, so it wouldn't be so bad. Although having Nicholls as a number 1 is a complete no no, ask any Coventry fan. Im a coventry fan and feel if you come up and the pt limit is 38 then anybody who has Nicholls would be very lucky. Great guy who always puts his heart and soul in to riding for us, would have him back in 2014 witb the bees. There is a lot of talk flying around that Leicester and Ipswich want to join the EL Would be great if it happens
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Witches fans would all welcome Scotty back anytime. As a No 1 some would have reservations although gor me that would depend on the set up of the league. If it was like for like as now then I see him as a 2nd or 3rd heat leader but with an expanded 12+ team league and the inevitable lower limit that would come with that then he could still be a No1. Interesting times ahead over these next few weeks.Lots of detail still to be thrashed out before we know the answers.
Panthers89
If Ippo do step up next season, could have the foundations for a decent team: 1. Hans 2. Tungate 3. Bach/D/U 4. Barker 5. Nicholls 6. Heeps 7. Risager/Lanham Most riders your own assets, and would certainly be very solid around Foxhall, and also be decent away. Hans Andersen pretty sure isn't, Tungate not sure but have something saying he is a Poole asset on loan (not sure). Bach not and Barker still Coventry along with Nicholls. Heeps don't know and last I remember Risager was a Swindon asset and Lanham a Lakeside asset. If the limit is 38 and Ipswich move up, Scott Nicholls would be a great rider to have as a #1 as not many teams will have many 7+_ riders and they can keep Barker (on loan) or sign another near 7 point rider, they only have 24 for 5 places left to fill and that would enable three or four of the current line up to stay with them and build a solid team Good Luck
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
I think 4 of the 8 named are 'assets'. Leigh always has been - he was always loaned out. Morten was purchased when we went PL. Cam and Rohan have only ever turned out for us and there has never been anything to suggest they signed anywhere else first. Indeed much had been made of them as new assests to rebuild for the future.
mickthemuppet
I think you might find that Cameron Heeps turned out for Mildenhall the season before last
