Ipswich 2014

With Cam having his op today will there be any Witches left to ride in the 16 lapper ?

Im sure none of Ben , Leigh or Rohan will be wanting to do that many laps and and with Adam and Cam both out that leaves Ritchie and Morten flying the flag for us at our signature meeting !

Should be an interesting lineup when announced , hopefully one or two potentials for next year ???

Would young Robert Lambert at 15 be allowed to ride in such an event or is the minimum age 16 for this as well ?

Dakota North lol on a big ego trip and isnt as good as he thinks he is.

Would like to see Barker stay. Not a big hitter like Doyle or Cook but boy do we get some good racing.

Rohan should stay but needs to really step into a second heat leader role and put a point on his average.

Risager im a bit bored with to be honest. To inconsistent and not moving forward. Although as stated has close links with the Louis family so will probably stay.

Cam can develop into the third heat leader role

Leigh would be good as a number 2 or 4 in the team.

Will Adam stay? Another one who i feel needs to produce a bit more now he has had a full season and he may or may not. Think he would be better as the second reserve.

We know Ritchie wont be staying.

Let Risager and Hawkins go. As to who can replace them have to wait and see, i have no idea

He has been, and probably been better the previous couple of seasons. It's just this year he hasn't been at his best by his standards.

I still don't think Foxhall suits him as he never really got to grips with it all season long.

A long way off his home form for Plymouth last year where he went unbeaten by a visiting rider for what seemed like months.

I'd still like him to stay mind!

I love watching Barker like most of us do. I just wish when he misses the start which let's be honest can be pretty often, that he would then cut up the inside. Also when he is chasing he enters the third turn way to late which isn't a problem if there is some grip there to work with, but there isn't. Would like to see bob putting a bit of moisture out wide a bit later in the meetings, very rarely does the outside get watered after the meeting has started. Shouldn't the track staff be doing all they can to help Ben out wide? So is Hawkins definitely not racing next season? Maybe we won't even be in the premier next season, in which case you would imagine Barker staying where he is.

Would be great if they slashed the cash and tried to get a few elite riders, Nicholls and king would be a good start.

perhaps all three may turn out to be the case!! Edited by dontforgetthefueltapsbruv

I think Ellis should take heart from Heeps' progress this year. Both riders similar age and both predicted to have good careers ahead of them.

Heeps in his first year last season averaged 4.40 and found things tough at times just as Ellis has this year, with Ellis averaging a similar 4.25.

But Heeps has progressed superbly this year upping his average to the near 7 point mark.

Ellis should take heart from that and it will definitely help having a years experience under his belt at PL level.

How much he ups 4.25 remains to be seen, but up it he will I've no doubts about that.

It's the viscious circle for Adam. To up your average you need good equipment. This years equipment was secondhand at the start of the year, there's been quite a few thousand spent keeping the van on the road Ok now he has some experience of British speedway it's the search for sponsors before next season and they're not exactly falling from the trees. I know some people expressed disappointment after the pre season hype, but he is still only 17 and every track he visited this year ( with the exception of two) was for the first time.

Broken bones need to heal and the loooong search for sponsorship starts. ( even if the format for next years leagues isn't yet decided)

and there in lies the problem for British Speedway.

If Adam who is seen as one of the brightest prospects the country has is finding sponsors difficult to find then its easy to understand why all are struggling.

Best of luck to Adam wherever he is next year and for securing some good back up over the winter.
