dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
So for our biggest crowd of the season, there will be 2 makeshift teams on display. How anybody thinks speedway is a professional sport is beyond me. Hopefully I won't get a newbie next to me on their first visit asking why the teams don't have their own riders racing and why a couple are missing. Shame Adam will be missing so many meetings. Will the newbie even know if the teams are missing any of their normal riders though and if they do will they be bothered? It will be the regulars that will be narked by it. Agree it will be a shame if Adam misses so many meetings especially as his PL rides may well be against tougher opposition compared to his EL draft rides! Baldyman
Your right, they probably wouldn't be bothered. It's not as if they come back again is it.

Noodles
But no Worrall or Ellis for the witches Peterborough possibly missing fisher. Blackbird. Jacobs All 10 EL teams riding and 10 Pl clubs to o. Peterborough could be at full strengh at Foxhall in the afternoon, but missing Fisher only at Peterborough in the evening. Depending on the start time of Belle Vue match Worrall may only miss one match too? Edited January 18, 2014 by Noodles
Alan_Jones
Rather than making the EL better the BSPA have made the PL worse! For once, it's not the BSPA 's fault. The PL' s decision to opt out of the rider development/cost cutting scheme means that it's their own fault that they're on the outside looking in at rider availability. screm
Looking at the fixtures we will be missing Richie Worrall twice, Home & Away v Peterborough on Good Friday. This could rise to four if Ipswich have home meetings on 29th May & 14th August as these are stated as Open at the moment. Whereas with Adam Ellis it's a different story. He will be missing 8 meetings :- Plymouth Away LC 11th April Peterborough Home & Away LC 18th April Newcastle Home PL 5th May Scunthorpe Away PL 20th June Plymouth Home PL 10th July Rye House Home PL 7th August Sheffield Home PL 30th August There could be 1 more meeting if Somerset get through to face up in the cup and Adam would miss the away leg on 13th June. It all depends on how well Adam does this year to see what sort of guests we can get. I think we will see some "tinkering" with the fixtures before any bikes get to the tapes for most clubs.
Tsunami
I think we will see some "tinkering" with the fixtures before any bikes get to the tapes for most clubs. Certainly will. Some teams are more astute and thoroughly research other events that might affect the fixtures(World Cup, Toon home games, etc. Others only cover some clashes they know and it is only later they realise that it would be unwise to proceed with that date or with that team. Fortunately, because it eventually affects all teams, there is a great deal of cooperation between clubs to resolve these issues. Berwick V Newcastle on SKY last year was not one of them. screm
As I understand it, the newly published fixtures have already been tinkered with (actually, revised drmatically in some cases!). Then they will have to tinker some more, for example the PL Fours has been provisionaly put down for August 3rd,Newcastle are due to race Edinburgh that day as well as Glasgow v Ipswich, the Witches having been at Workington the previous night.

CardinalSin
News on Risager's testimonial in the Ipswich Star and EADT tomorrow. Apparently the field will contain some "GP Stars".

I see that Joonus Kylmakorpi has his testimonial on the same day, wonder if this would have an effect?

CardinalSin
It's the day before the ELRC, so will give an opportunity for riders to dust off some cobwebs in not-too-competitive surroundings ... maybe he can get Iversen, Bjerre & Schlein to tempt some Stars/Panthers fans to make the trip. Edit: just seen the comment above about Eunice Cupofcoffee's event ... hmmm ... We haven't seen any of the "top" riders at Foxhall for a few years now so if he could tempt Nicki Pedersen and one or two others of that ilk, along with it being on a Saturday night, it could well be a decent pay day for Risager! CardinalSin
Iversen and Kenneth Bjerre signed up so far, with Morten hoping to announce one or two more GP riders soon. All the Witches apart from Ellis (who has a commitment in France), and possibly Worrall who is waiting on his Polish team' fixture list, will be riding. Also match races between Louis, Doncaster and hopefully Loram too.

CardinalSin
It's the close season and the team was sorted a long time ago so very little to discuss. It's actually been pretty quiet on here since Aljackel departed! Most of the discussion on here was him trolling and everyone else biting. Separate the wheat from the chaff and you could probably cut the Ipswich threads in half.
