Super Blue
Pete Simmons has quit as team manager! Personally I'm not too upset as I thought he made some very strange decisions with the use of reserves in certain meetings. I wonder who we will get instead? CardinalSin
Interesting comments from Pete about issues with the team last year and his disappointment that Lanham wasn't given a place this year.. Also that he didn't receive backing over wanting to change the riding order. http://www.lovespeedway24.co.uk/mobile/teams_2_553/ipswich_witches_2_563/witches_team_manager_pete_simmons_quits_after_six_years_in_charge_but_may_have_stayed_had_the_witches_moved_into_the_elite_league_1_3211130 Edited January 16, 2014 by CardinalSin
Baldyman
With what he has said it obviously means as team manager he doesn't have much say in anything. So with that in mind, do we need a team manager? I would like to say thanks to Pete for putting so much of his own time and obviously at a cost to himself into it. Maybe some of his strange decisions were not his after all.

Rumour has it that the new team manager will be the winner from the previous weeks Witches Winner draw....
CardinalSin
Mike Smillie is still general manager. Perhaps he'll get his old job back as team manager..

Baldyman
I'm sure you are right, as he wouldn't have mentioned the other bits otherwise. Let's be honest, he was probably just a gofor for Louis, and we all know why morten is in the team and not Leigh.
BluPanther
Pete was obviously not happy being a CL yes man, who can blame him. Family connections obviously outweigh the good intentions of a loyal team manager..
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
The positive if there is any in a stuation such as this is that it is being sorted now in January and not in March or worse in mid season. Whatever the rights and wrongs and whatever side you may take now come the action all in the camp and on the terraces need to be pulling in the same direction. Baldyman
Have you ever thought of being team manager Mr taps? You normally put things which are very diplomatic, probably a very good way to be for a team manager.
CardinalSin
Well I must be in the minority on here as I would have Risager over Lanham and I'm pleased with that particular decision.

No point dwelling on and being negative about some matters especially those that you have little or no influence over.
