Ipswich 2014

Recommended Posts

Surely it was obvious morten was always going to be in the team, aljack told us this ages ago. As for why not all 7 improving their average, they might, but I think one will stay about the same, which isn't getting worse, so that's got to be good surely. Will be interesting to see how many of our riders averages do improve.

But you very rarely see Leigh have bad meetings on away tracks, and you need to score plenty of away points to be serious contenders. Now i am not saying this year's team are not contenders, but I would just prefer Leigh. Leigh tends to score 5 6 7 or 8, morten tends to score more of 10 3 8 3 11 3 .

Worrall is in his third "reduced" year of a three year span.

Thrilled that Manzares is a club assett and with the line up we should have good reserves all year - it'll start will Hawkins and Ellis but both of those could get into the main team and Risager or Manzares could swap places with either / both of them - strong reserves are so vital and are generally the key to winning meetings and that is something we will have all season.

Couple that with a strong top end of Worrall, Tungate and Heeps and I think it's a very balanced side which is fully capable of making the end of season play offs.

Worrall gets the reduction according to some on here.

possibly Adam as well unless the ruling only covers those riding when the general Brit reduction was phased out.

Still cant see how that is--He has 3 PL averages just like Ash Birks---who doesnt get it

The way I see it the reduction is for the 3 seasons after first attaining an average.

So if first average was 2011 then reduction applies in 2012 2013 and 2014.

If Birks fits that heshould get it too.

Yep looking at the Ipswich Star, they have Worrall on 8.42 and Ellis on 4.14 so both getting the reduction.

That does mean Leighs ommission isnt due to the numbers game as he would fit for Morten.

Unless of course they hadnt factored in the reductions until after he was signed. If so a schoolboy error.

Yes a school boy error was made, hence Adam looking for a team place before it was pointed out to them about the reductions. You would think and hope that the people responsible for putting the team together would know the rules. Mr sin I take it you don't watch Ipswich away? Leigh is by far the better rider although the averages are similar. But that's the team and it's one that should keep the home fans happy by winning all home matches, which is something that hasn't happened for a fair few season's. It's definitely a team capable of making the top 6, possibly top 3.
