seanmuffe
You get a facility for Playoff matches presumably on the grounds that they are important matches arranged at short notice. ........play offs magic .......that devalues them even more. Halifaxtiger
they should sign or negotiate contracts saying who has priority over their services when fixtures clash. That's the best way, clearly. Having said that, in the absence of such an agreement I don't have a problem with other countries playoffs taking precedence..............provioding its reciprocated, of course. Tsunami
Been at the track all morning and just returned home. The doggie sheets are down, gates put on and all the electrics tested and working. The speedway track has had sheets covering the bends since about 10.00pm this morning, and have just been taken off when it started to rain as Arson says at about 2.30pm. The track had not been watered and we have not had any rain for for few days except for a light shower during the night. Forecasts as usual were all crap and none right. How farmers, and other outdoor businesses, cope with the guff that the Met Office and others put out beats me. Anyway, we are now at the mercy of the weather, without any further rain, things should be OK for tonight. Don't forget that after the main meeting against Edinburgh, there follows a Northern Junior League with the Gems, for whom local lad Josh Embleton marks his racing debut. Please stay behind and give the lads your support. NB The sun has just come out as I write and, with the blue sky, it looks like it is going to hang around for awhile. idanthyrsus
Countryfile forecast,,, should watch it, its good, but it's on on Sunday evenings, so maybe tape it ;-) So what you are saying is that for the weather forecast on Sunday, we should watch countryfile on Sunday evening. I reckon I could possibly do a fair to middling weather forecast myself of Sunday if I were to transmit it on Sunday evening
ellioth4
Updates for this meeting. You have got better weather than here in the Walsall, West Midlands where it's been raining and cloudy most of the day.

Watch it tonight, if you're not going to speedway,,,

TheScotsman
Did Cook take 2 again!!? Did you come on the wrong thread? Anyway no - he took gate 4. Oh and by the way, while you're here, updater's comments for heat 11............. Heat 11 Rosen, Schramm, Cook, Sneddon Result: Sneddon, Cook, Rosen, Schramm (65.8) 1-5 (34-32) Deek around the outside which allowed Cookie through the inside,Cook rode good race to protect Deek But of course he can't team ride
The White Knight
Enjoyed the Meeting this Evening. After two Heats I thought that the omens were not good. We overcame a 3-9 deficit after two Races to take all the Points. Lewis Kerr again rode well and also suffered a truly alarming fall, which he thankfully walked away from unhurt. Same again tomorrow night Lads.
NJC71
What is about visits from Edinburgh that always seems to bring misfortune for the Diamonds? This should have been an easy win against a poor Edinburgh side (Cook and too a lesser extent Deek aside). But as with the cup match the Diamonds were throwing away points left, right and centre leaving this in the balance right to the end. Aarron Summers had 8 points (2,3,3) from his first three rides yet that should only have been 0,1,2 with all three races re-run after Tabaka wiped out Tully, Kerr fell and Tabaka came off again all with the Diamonds in front. Also shame that Carr came off in first run of heat 13 with Richie having a good lead over Cook. That said Cook again looked mega quick but just didn't have any back-up. Will be interesting to see who both sides get in the play-offs. If we meet again Edinburgh will be stronger with Pjiper and Vissing back although hopefully we won't have so many problems the next time.
