comet49
Don't you mean a 3-3 into a 4-2 for the Comets?
Bandits4eva
Don't you mean a 3-3 into a 4-2 for the Comets? No. Ref gave it to kasper on the line.
comet49
Yeh but if Rusty actually finished in front of him it should have been 4-2 to the Comets, Lawson won.
Shadders
Don't you mean a 3-3 into a 4-2 for the Comets? Perhaps I phrased it incorrectly... It was clearly Rusty on the line, but the ref amazingly gave it to Kasper... I had already typed out a 2-4 on my phone ready to Tweet when the ref announced the result

Arson fire
Well never expected that draw, well done Worky sounds as if we were really up for it . Edinburgh on Monday then the playoffs, still reckon we will one of the first to get picked but anything can happen don't write the Comets off just yet ;-) !! dont write the comets off in the play offs... Yet you wrote them off away to Rye House??... I see your logic
Lord Skid
Yes - well done Uncle Len... Spend the day removing any dirt there was left on the track when you have half a team of racers , and welcome one of the stronger teams in the league to a gating paradise! The Police were called to the Stadium, apparently someone stole the shale, apparently it was a very slick operation, carried out by two males who were as bald as a badger, who fills the team with racers, then prepares it for Jimmy White. Phil Silvers
Enjoyed the meeting but the set-up at Rye is still a shambles. What was with the ONLY paramedic at the track helping set the start gate FFS!

What was with the ONLY paramedic at the track helping set the start gate FFS! Every week there is a request for first aiders, this week it was two required. Is Chris Neath Planning to ride in 2014? I think there's a benefit meeting planned for him at the end of the season, so you can take it that he has retired
scaramanga
just seen the photo of ht 11 were the raff awarded against the rider in white looks like the reff needs a trip to spec savers rusty was half bike length in front but awards it to the home rider take a look for yourselves workingtoncomets.co/news/article.asp?id=100193
Shadders
Thought so at the time. Ref made a howler Edited September 9, 2013 by Shadders
bolly
We all knew that Rusty had got Kasper on the line, but by the power of positive thinking and shouting well done as loud as we could it puts that seed of doubt in the refs mind. Home track advantage
Phil Silvers
Every week there is a request for first aiders, this week it was two required. Thought the track staff looked thin on the ground although I havent been since May. I saw the regular start marshall Terry in the car park as we entered, any reasoning as to why he wasnt working? Also on the subject of first aiders...On Saturday racing was suspended due to an 'incident' in the crowd and they called for the paramedic. BUT not only did the paramedic leave the track to attend so did ALL the first aiders one of which looked like he was carrying a CPR kit!. Why does the paramedic have to attend to crowd incidents? thats why you have first aiders employed surely? If the incident IS more than a first response incident then call the ambulance like anywhere else - the paramedic could deal with it if beyond the skills of the first aider until the ambulance arrives?
