topsoil
Good meeting which hopefully raised a lot of money for a very worthwhile cause. As for the newbies, I think Jacob Jamrog never gave up and his pass on Pijper was superb. Lined him up for two laps then got him on last lap. Then his horrific looking crash in heat 13. How the hell he got up from that and took his place in the re-run I've no idea. Just confirms the thought speedway riders are a special breed. I would love to see some of the prima donna footballers showing courage like that. Berge looked okay in parts. Again looked like a trier. Given his age, he's bound to come on. Hansen looked decent. A heat leader? maybe. All in all a meeting carried out in the right the right manner. The result was just about right. Good to see travelling Sheffield fans supporting a former rider. Good luck Ricky. Everybody is behind you in the biggest race of your life!
Bandit59
i must agree and also kenneth hansen Heard a rumour last night you might get your wish
Prior Bandit
I also heard that rumour. I noticed Liam carr had Anderson Butchers advertising all over the bike, hopefully he is getting a bit of sponsorship. He seems to have the talent just needs the equipment. havenagotahope
Heard a rumour last night you might get your wish Hope your right team needs freshened up and think all three have potential but Jamrog would put 200 on the crowd himself long time since I have seen someone find some of his racing lines using the dirt mid bend to catapult out class act Edited September 29, 2013 by havenagotahope
Fromafar
Jamrog certainly knew how to entertain and was very stylish definitely worth a punt if he wants to come to Berwick.Hansen looked ok but if he is going to be riding all over the continent is it worth it.IMO we should be looking for a decent Aussie who rides in Britain for 6 months to make money.,and not these Scandinavian mercenaries who look on GB to top up their continental earnings and don't care anything about the Club.Alternately a young Czech or Slovak who doesn't have a lot of Continental Teams or commitments

Yes it is a long shot but maybe there will be rule changes who knows. It's worth a dreaming. David Johnston1
i must agree and also kenneth hansen Would have Jakub Jamrog before I would have Kenneth Hansen. You never know with meetings like last night but didn't think Kenneth looked as quick as half the Berwick riders from this year.

You never know with meetings like last night but didn't think Kenneth looked as quick as half the Berwick riders from this year. Hansens had a number of chances over here, with differing degrees of success,I hope the Berwick promotion are sure he is capable of decent scoring at PL level, should he sign of course. bigeddiechek
What a fantastic turnout from the fans to show their support for Ricky last night. Much, much bigger than a good league crowd. Well done - once again - to the amazing speedway family.
StevePark
Giving the rules governing Polish riders racing in the PL,its difficult to see Jamrog signing for Berwick. So why ride in the meeting? He was obviously putting himself in the shop window, so I wouldn't give up hope just yet.

Fair point, but both Hansen & Jamrog are riding in a number of meetings while they are over here, probably hoping a promoter notices there performances. It might not necessarily mean Berwick. Lord Antebellum
Yer listening to Taffy too much. Is he the local guy who sponsors all the Czech riders at different clubs? I'd have thought his money might be better invested in seriously backing an improving local teenager such as Liam Carr.
